The only offensive lineman we have tried currently that can actually run block was run out of Lincoln..🤔😳
No fire, attitude or anger from any of them!

Mazz ran himself out. But your point stands, this is a really bad OL. When you can’t even have the threat of a run game against Purdue… We’ve got a problem.

Might as well play younger guys to see if they want to win a spot.

He realized his coach was a fraud and took action and rebelled. Can’t say I blame anyone for that.

Anyone want to markup any W's for the rest of our season? Huh? Anyone?
I’m just thinking back to all the folks after the Colorado game telling the few people on here that said this was not a top 25 team that they were idiots, morons, etc..

They’ve been *** forever

Literally never good

Anyone who claimed to see “improvement” last year was woefully mistaken, as we all knew

Our OL Coach is a nepotism hire learning on the job

Learning from who? Good question.

To be fair there was some improvement but most of that was the result of injuries.

Wonder if any of those people want to join the conversation? I bet not.

No there wasn’t

The only difference is we were tough and ran the football

Now we pass every play and our softness is on full display

How long has O line coach DR been here? And we still can't block? Get rid of him.

O line began to gel in the second half. Proud of that. Build on that.

EJ being our best back with DD close second is clear now too.

I’m not sure how they adjusted in that second half but the O line took over. Raiola had all day to throw it. Some of it was Satt either calling more run plays OR Raiola not audibling to pass plays.

Yeah I can't pinpoint it until watch the game on replay. But they clicked in the second half for sure.

Offensive line suddenly looked better once EJ came in. He has an ability to see creases

It would be extremely educational to see Thomas and Raiola watch the video together with commentary. People would pay money for that. Most of us have no idea if the play run was the first option or an audible at the LOS. Raiola is running a pro style offense with the ability to change plays without looking at the sideline.

We went under center in the second half with a downhill game and some down blocks. Much better than that **** shotgun zone we cant do.

He is our best back. Matt has him at 3rd string. Don't understand it. Then again, I don't understand half of the things that Matt does anyway.
Agreed EJ just looks different. I said that last year. His vision and burst are the best and he gets extra yards more often. His running style reminds me a little of Phillips but without the top-end speed and size. We still get the most complete back from Johnson.

Eh. Id rather have him short yardage than EJ. Only because we have him for that and he's a big body that does well at it 🤷🏻‍♂️
People overestimate size versus burst and vision. Running backs rarely move the pile. Most often they get stacked up and stuffed on contact in short yardage. Hitting the hole quicker and slashing upfield win in those situations more often.

All along I've said EJ is our best back.

Gottula was 3rd string behind Teddy and Corc, on the field production in the last 1+ game shows Gottula clearly better than either of them.

Rhule's "development program" always allows his teams to lose 3-4 games a year and deflect criticism for blowing games that should have been won.

NU has 4 RB's used to taking handoffs, so let's take Carter Nelson and try to turn him into the next Sam "Bam" Cunningham. He may eventually be a real weapon on the goal line, yesterday it failed miserably

And why bring in Ervin for one carry after he's been on the bench for most of the game?

Some of this coaching staffs moves are just stupid.
They seem desperate for someone to say "Wow, what a great call." ala Scott Frost.
