Our billionaires like Buffet, Walter Scott, the Lauritzens, Yanny, Blumpkin, donate to UNMC which is amazing, but not to NU football.

Just my opinion but I think the OL is going to change their attitude and Rune a lot of DL in the process.

I think Raiola’s fire will Triskele down and we will see a lot of Valknut kicking. The crowd will be Raven and in Helm of Awe at their performance.

If we can run the ball like I hope we can we might be boaring but ultimately have more OL reach the Valhalla of Fame

It's obvious to me at least that after Frost had his heart to heart with Alberts Frost gave up a ton of responsibility. Whipple will now run the offense and he should, if Frost tries to take over he will most likely have another heart to heart with Alberts.

Frost knows he's on a short leash so he will now be the figure head of the program imo. Scott's biggest flaw since taking over the program was that he tried to run every single aspect of the team, that's a disaster waiting to happen.

We shall see what we see this year when assistant coaches will finally run their groups hopefully without interference. I'm cautiously optimistic that we will finally have a winning season and move on from there to better days.

Unfortunately the chemistry is what concerns me the most especially with NIL. However an o lineman should get plenty of NIL $$ from people old enough to appreciate "fat and nasty ".. .yes I know that slogan was basically a DL thing

This is my main concern with NIL. Chemistry will be different with certain players driving an NIL sponsored leased Ferrari to practice and most others might get a free Runza. Look at the running back at Texas who just got a deal with the Austin Lamborghini dealership. Nobody can convince me that it won’t cause 18-22 year olds, basically kids, to get emotional and salty.

Frost took a 0-12 team and had them 13-0 in just two years. That 0-12 team had a lot of talent, but their HC had totally lost them. Frost came in and turned them around and a lot of that had to do with rebuilding the chemistry. That undefeated team had chemistry coming out of the wazoo. So he definitely can build it. He just hasn’t been able to do it here. I think they’ve been able to do it on the defensive side to some degree, but the offense has been a hot mess.

Clearly Frost hasn’t been happy with the OL. He probably took too long, but getting rid of Austin was a Frost thing and not a Trev forcing him to do it thing. Scott has to hope that the new staff can get it turned around lickety-split otherwise he is toast.

NIL is a wildcard and I think it’s too early to see how it will play out long term. But it does seem like it is to our benefit this year anyway.

Simply NO. It wasnt a true chemistry issue it was simply a team had quit on their coach issue.

The UCF success was largely due to UCF having the most talent in their league (by far) and it wasnt close, and also having an elite QB. I will give SF credit for grabbing the QB..but his UCF teams if you actually sat and watched them..were not well coached as a whole and they made alot of errors in games that people didnt really notice because they overcame them and won the games because they had a huge talent advantage.

They made a lot of silly mistakes, and didnt pay attention to detail and a lot of minor errors. The reason that they were not hurt more by those errors was because of the fact that they had the most talent and an elite (for that level) QB. Milton was Frosts "sin eater"..AKA he erased the mistakes that SF made as a coach by in large. The oline flinches and puts UCF at a 3 and 12, no problem here comes Milton with a sidestep and a scramble for 13 yards and a first down, or a nice toss over the middle to his wide open TE for the first down...or name any number of plays he would make in any game...

If Frost wasnt happy with his OL, he should have made an OL coach change at least 2 years ago. I mean how many years do you need with an O line coach before you know he is not gonna cut it? He already had Austin for 2 years at UCF...and after say 2-3 years at NU? Is 4-5 years not enough time with an O line coach to know you gotta make a change? Good coaches dont take 6 GD years to figure out their O line coach needs to go...

All those little costly mistakes that his teams made at UCF that didnt hurt them, or cause them to lose are the same small costly mistakes that loses SF games at a higher level when he doesnt have a HUGE talent advantage..AKA he and his staff get out coached in most games they play. Heck NU has more talent than a good portion of the teams they play and still lose.

His back was against the wall and he KNEW he needed to make changes or else his JOB was in jeopardy. So TA may not have official asked SF to make those changes, but SF KNEW he HAD to make some changes in order to appease people.
But dont get it twisted, had SF not felt his job was in jeopardy...he wouldnt have made all those moves.

We BOTH know that those moves he made could have easily been made at least a year earlier and it was overdue at that point. Yet he didnt make those moves.
He made them cuz his back was against the wall period.
