Clearly something wrong with this team. They seem clueless when teams take away Tina Charles. All of the guards exhibit TERRIBLE shot selection. They have talent, but they need to be coached how to adjust to teams taking away Tina. And to not keep throwing up low percentage shots. They don’t move the ball well; their game looks like the NBA these days (not a compliment)—shooting from basically anywhere on the court instead of working the ball to get open shots. Very disappointing. Many “name” players on the team who are regressing.

Meh, it got so bad I had to put the Yankees on. 1)Katie Smith so far has shown to be a horrible coach. 2)It was only Piph's 1st game this year having been on concussion protocol....looked out of shape as well. 3)Bill jackass Laimbeer obviously knows his ex team very well. 4)Kia looked decent.5)No excuse but the refs whoever they were, WERE absolutely horrid, but both ways.
6)Playing in Westchester is beyond pathetic for a variety of reasons. 7)Isiah Mr. Cool in his $1,000 suit was there, as well as new Knick coach Fizdale? And, last but not least one of my favorite Knick Kyle O'Quinn was wandering around(highlight of game). Lastly, dear basketball GOD please let Dolan sell this team already.

Outside of Piph (return from concussion) and Nurse, it can argued (convincingly) that all players on the Liberty have regressed.

I had high hopes for them when they decided to “clean house” by removing the aging/ineffective players like Swords, Swin Cash, Tanisha Wright, etc. They brought in younger players with “names” from college. They showed a lot of promise. But this year, they look clueless and “uncoached”. I know it is easy to blame the coach, but the lack of fundamentals and smart play this year makes me wonder about the coaching.

We don't get to see them out here (since I don't do the online stuff and blacked out on MSG). Hoping they turn up on NBA TV just to see the arena.

I thought Nurse was having a pretty good season, and from the stats it looks like this was one of 2 bad games she's had. She's a rookie, so I think you should have hopes. As to Katie Smith, who knows. First time as a head coach, so I suppose she should get some slack.

My comments are not about their previous game (against Vegas where the entire team was awful), but rather the season as a whole. Nurse has had a few excellent games. Yes, Prince has just returned from a concussion and Boyd from surgery. However, if you run up and down the roster—for a variety of reasons, almost everyone to date has been a disappointment this year: Rebecca Allen, Boyd, Coleman, Hartley, Piph, Sugar, Kia Stokes, Kia Vaughn, Zellous. Maybe I’m over-estimating this team’s talent—but I thought that this year—with a new coach—1) Stokes would emerge and Coleman would help take the pressure off Tina, and 2) Sugar, Hartley, Boyd, Nurse, Zellous, and Piph (when healthy) would provide the CONSISTENT guard play—at both guard positions. Yes, the team is guard-heavy—but loaded with great talent there! Coleman and Stokes (with a new coach) should be helping out Tina. Maybe I’m not being objective, but this team should be much better.

I was hoping Coleman would be of help, and maybe she will. Unfortunately she has underwhelmed everywhere she has played, she has only lasted a few years with each WNBA team. Look at the offers she had gotten in high school.....
Coleman chose the University of Maryland, College Park over the University of Tennessee, the University of Connecticut, the University of Florida, and Duke University. She was the 2nd overall pick in the 2009 draft, is already with her 4th WNBA team. Not picking her out, she is just one of the players that has underperformed over the years.
I guess since I thought this team was not very talented(except for Tina Charles), Piph getting the concussion just added to the misery that has so far been this year, plus having a 1st time coach(Dolan could have spent way more $$$$ and gotten a seasoned coach).
Add having to play in that horrid location, out in nowhere land, and things are looking kind of bleak right now.

I was totally wrong about the Liberty. They are a terrible team. I thought a new coach would change them for the better. Instead, almost all careers of players on the team have taken a step back. And for some, a big step back. I was wrong.
