while Patton is enjoying some success running the football, both Hibriten
and Freedom will limit them to season lows. Patton D will not be able to
stop the offense of these two either. With that said,,, QB Eakin should leave
Patton next year as the all time leading rusher for Patton, period... and the all time
QB rush leader for Burke County!! I hope he does it.

Saw this earlier... this is Great. If I remember, the Gaines kid was the last shriner from Hibriten, right?
Gaines was overlooked. Should have been scholarshiped by a D2 school at the least. Obviously grades play a part, but any kid playing in the Shrine Bowl should be playing college ball.
Playing the likes of crest and shelby will only help come playoff time. Their schedule is pretty soft.
Yeah you got that right lol. I wish they'd a lined up a high ranked Charlotte school like some years back. PACKED HOUSE baby and coulda won. They'll still be tough durning playoff time but Freedom will be the main test. If they take Freedom by 3 TDs they should be ok. If barley win or somehow lose, then this hype will be short lived. I hope not.
What I like about this Hibriten team is the way they spread the wealth.
They have plenty of guys making plays, and play team ball.
Give me a team that uses 5 or 6 good athletes, over a team that uses
one great athlete, while good talent watches... any Fiday night of the month!

That's when they need to give the Soph and Jrs a lot of play time experience and just try out different plays.

IMO that will be anyone's game. If Watauga can make more stops than usual it could be an upset. They can score that's for sure
It's a done deal for South. Rebuilding time and time to get kids faster, in shape, and of course the ability to run that playbook effectively. They should beat Foard. MAY beat Saint, but that's it.

Had us beat and let up. Freedom has yet to beat anyone that has won more than 1 game. All joking aside, Freedom could end regular season with only 7 wins. Its embarrassing.
HHS is just so short on kids they wear down during the course of the game. Those two late turnovers doomed their chances tonight.
Just got to get over the hump and get used to winning again. At least 3 winnable games coming up for Hickory.
Pats I hate it for you guys. There is just so much talent in Morganton. There is no reason to get spanked that bad by Shelby (lose yes, not dismantled). Freedom should run this conference. I have the utmost respect for Hibriten but they are actually a 2A team ADM. Hibriten is the cream of the conference but other than them the Patriots should run the other teams off the field.
I really enjoyed the Freedom vs Newton series. Wished that would continue. Freedom and Newton brought a lot of fans when traveling.
