Did Nebraska cover a spread last year? I'll continue to take the opposition until they start playing a little more consistent.

I see it is down to 3.5. Betting is looking at trends. Nebraska has not won a road game since a 25-24 win at Purdue in 2017. In that time the defense has given up at least 31 in all those games. Now are they going to buck the trend or does it stay in place, that is the question.

With that said, I would stay away from this one all together.

Didn't they cover OSU and Wisconsin?

Nebraska covered at Iowa and Ohio State, they pushed at NW and at Wisconsin. You have to go back to Illinois in 2017 that last time Nebraska was a road favorite. They did cover that one. You also have to go back to 2014 to find the last time Nebraska was a road favorite in a Non Conference game.

I'm no gambling expert, but it seems like we covered that one.

The last part of the season Nebraska was a covering machine. They covered 5 out of their last 6. The only ATS loss was -47 vs Bethune-Cookman.

Those are all great points, I’ll have to go back and watch some of those longer plays... and I absolutely agree with the d in general showing improvement, I wasn’t overly concerned about the yardage the D gave up... when your offense isn’t on the field in the second half the d is going to surrender yardage...

With that said I still have concerns about the DBs and I’ll go back to take a closer look but initial thought was our man coverage was not very tight, our interceptions came when it looked like we were playing in zone coverage. I just know the quality of WR we will see against the buffs, their WR1 (can’t think of his name) is a projected high 1st round pick next year... and I don’t think their QB will be running for his life like the other poster mentioned... again it seemed like the only time we generated pressure Was when we sent in a QB blitz... but I must say I haven’t got to watch the whole game yet I listened to the whole thing on radio and have went and watched only a few clips of plays from the calls I heard and I wanted to see what was going on... so you may have a better understanding and a better break down of that aspect then I may have

I think this is going to be fairly common with Frost/ Chinanders D. Higher yardage totals, with higher take aways and the goal to keeping teams under 30. With the thought that our offense can put up more point, especially with he extra take aways. I want to say he even said something like, "Im not worried about how many yards they have."

I could be wrong but I think they covered at least half if not more last year. Think they covered all of the last 6.
