There is no limit on how many guys can suit up. There is a limit to the number of medals presented/names announced during the state finals, which is 70 for Class A. But schools can suit up as many guys as they want.I'm watching the Elkhorn South - Gretna game and it looks like Gretna has about 80 guys suited up.

Was it a home game? Wonder if they had JV there as well. How many of the kids actually saw the field as opposed to just getting to "run out of the tunnel"
On the Gretna side there were uniformed players from one 25 yard line to the other 30 yard line. That’s 45 yards of guys in uniform. And they weren’t in a single line.Game was at Elkhorn. Gretna gets one more season of a unified school before Gretna East opens in 2023. Both schools will likely drop to class B when that happens. Won’t last long given the growth in Gretna.
