Does anyone know how they "classify" these things?
For example: Platteview is B in boys hoops & in C in cup standings. NPSP is D in boys hoops & in C in Cup. Norfolk Cath & Cedar are C in boys hoops, but D in this system.

The manual with the info about the Cup program just says:

Schools in each division (Boys, Girls, All-School) are divided into four classes (A, B, C, and D) determined each activities year, based on enrollment.

The classification stuff is messed up for this cup thing. Cedar Catholic and Norfolk Catholic in Class D when they're in C-2 in everything but girls sports and in Class C track. Looking at the track classifications, Cedar Catholic has 90 and North Platte St. Pats has 77. Something is messed up in my opinion.

Looking at the classifications, the breakdown is:

Class A - 34 schools

Class B - 28 schools

Class C - 106 schools

Class D - 141 schools

I don't see a breakdown anywhere as to what the cutoffs are between classes or why they are broken up the way they are.

The only thing I can figure out is that all of the classifications is based on girl only numbers.
