Having an elite offense gives a team a large margin for error. All of our improvement is due to an offensive explosion.

I'm not sure Gonzaga has the grit to win it all. I think last season was their now or never moment.
The pollsters will drop us 10+ spots when we have a bad loss, it's time for them to shoot us up the rankings now. The numbers don't lie.
Agree. They had more talent last year and still weren’t tough enough. They are always a finesse team and that never wins a natty.

Nah, rankings have been fine, there isn’t really any substantial hate in polls and there never has been. We will move up a good amount after this week as we should.

Our luck is so low because we have a weak schedule and lost close games against every team with a pulse except for UT and UNC.
Teams with our rating tend to have more wins against our schedule. That's all it means.
We have one “bad loss”. That’s it. Pretty much every top team does at this point.
Our "bad loss" isn't even bad. We don't have that many quality wins yet compared to some of the other top teams. Auburn and LSU, for example, both have 4 quad 1 wins while we have 2.
We are beating the crap out of most of our opponents. Our resume, right now, understates the actual power of our team.

Someone posted here the top 20 on kenpom on Thursday and Kentucky was #8 at that time.
We keep,winning and the rankings will take care of themselves, 2 huge games this week, win them and we are in play for a 2 seed .
There are not 4 teams better than us if we stay healthy. Saying that, these AP polls and Coaches polls are just so bias.
Hell, just recently one writer put Georgia in his top 5 instead of Gonzaga.

There absolutely is a bias. The proof is on the football side where the MSU coach was one of only two coaches not to include UK in his final to 25 because he's pissy that we kept Marrow and stole a recruit. The truth is in the computer rankings.
Yeah, this team is definitely better than #18 in the country. This is a top 10 team, I really believe it. I've watched a lot of college basketball this season and watching other teams makes you appreciate this team much more.
But at the same time, it wouldn't bother me too much if the pollsters move the Cats up slowly and even if they disrespect the team a bit. It never hurts to be hungry, a bit. Although, with the maturity of this particular team it may not make much difference. I have a feeling this group is going to come out ready to play every game.
Keep winning and we get a 1 seed.
Can you imagine this team if we still haven’t “peaked”? Last night was unreal. I know, a shooting night like UT won’t continue, but as long as we execute and come with that same energy against every opponent until the end of the year, I like our chances to go pretty deep come March. And can’t fathom what we might be like if this in fact isn’t peaking too early.
Tennessee's adjusted defense went back up to 5 after we casually put 107 on them. All other teams on display must have been second-rate play.
Win both and we are in play for a #1 seed; especially after Baylor dropped back to back home games this week.
That’s not surprising at all, I’m suprised we aren’t dead last. I’d love to see that luck stat over Cals tenure and what each team ranks. I’m sure Duke is off the charts ole luck

Yeah I love how unselfish this group is too, we have some lapses where we get up and start going one on one but overall they love passing to to the open man. Keep this pace up, shoot good 3’s like we have been and improve on defense over the last 2 months and we will be amazing.
I’ve noticed the National media starting to talk about UK being back so that will help in itself for seeding if the perception of the team is that of an elite group. Still need to get these road W’s and add to the resume but winning the SEC would do wonders for seeding this year finally.
SEC teams are actually higher in the computer metrics this year solely because they’re calling slightly less fouls and letting teams play more efficient basketball.
That'll never change when you have guys filling out ballots who don't watch games ... and/or have their grad assistants and secretaries fill them out. Not joking. I know at least one team who does this.
