Looked at both men's and women's schedules. Opening night, Friday, November 11, both teams listed as being home. Is this going to be one of those infamous doubleheaders?

Why infamous? I used to like those doubleheaders back in the '80's. Unless, of course, the men's season ticket holders are going to get the shaft or it's general admission and somebody will be sitting in "MY" seat. In that case, I might have to sit in 118.

Infamous because certain people on this board threw a fit because they didn't get their usual seats.

Yes. Get there early to see grown men cry when someone is sitting in their seats for the womans game.

I have covered the men's game for a few double headers and there was a two hour gap between games. About 95 percent of the people who came for the ladies game had already left by the time people were let in for the men's game

There was a time, more than 30 years ago, that there were several of these each year, and the time gap between the two was not that long. With the women already pretty good, many, many people would time it to get their by halftime of the women's game and then stay through the men's game.

This would have been 1981-83, when I had tickets in high school and there were very few Rutgers sports fans even one town over from College Avenue.

As far as I know there's only been 1 doubleheader at Rutgers in the last 30 years and there certainly wasn't 2 hours between games. If there's 2 hours between games that's not a doubleheader.

went to many of them myself...I think it is a great move but need to figure out a way to address the seating concern.

Play the women's game after the men's...that solves all the problems. It would for me anyway

If I remember correctly, there was a doubleheader in the Littlepage era and the women were the later game.

I remember many times in the '80's when there was a Women's game at 5:00 and a men's game at 7:30 or 8pm.
I'd leave work in Edison at 4:30 to get to the RAC and grab a couple of Hot Dogs & a soda and stay for both games.
I distinctly remember watching Sue Wicks play her first game as a Freshmen sitting somewhere in Section 104 with
a dozen or so other fans scattered around the RAC.
