But they didn't! That tells me that we are going 40-0. We played as bad as we have played all year, and still won! I hope Wisconsin feels like we are over-rated. If we were gonna lose, tonight was the night! 40-0 is our destiny! Bring on Wisconsin and Duke!!! Go Big Blue!!!

Wow big fellow. We shot 54 % ,outrebounded ND and had 9 blocks; did not miss a shot of any kind in the last 10.5 minutes.. Now tell me again how that was our worst game of the year. You know sometimes you just have to give credit to the other team. Might have been one of our poorer defensive efforts but geez give it a break-we won.That was no Grand Canyon we played.

1st half was probably one of the worst if not the worst; so many missed passes, missed rebounds, missed good shots, missed defensive switches etc...

2nd half was two teams going toe to toe, doing all they could to win and keep their season alive. was a great game, very thankful the cats came out on top.

GTFO of here OP. They didn't deserve anything. They played well and come up short. you know what that is? A Loss. Period. You don't deserve to win when your behind when the clock hits zero.

Dude, Notre Dame played the better game tonight, but we were not to be denied! You should feel good about that. If we were gonna lose, tonight was the night. We got this!!

I think UK deserved to win because of the hard work and guts they show as well as the commitment and unselfish play they have demonstrated all year. Just because the other team played their hearts out doesn't mean we didn't deserve it.

I thought the team with the most points at the end of regulation deserved to win. Is there another criteria for determining a win that I didn't know about?

They played a hell of a game. Not a single flop, not even one, either team. Clean game. Basketball game. We won but wow.

Last I checked, games last 40 minutes...Notre Dame didn't score for the last 2:30 and we scored on every possession in the last 12:13.

Cream always rises to the top.

Notre Dame scored 0 points for the last two and a half minutes. You don't deserve to win a close game going scoreless over the final 2:25. No other way to slice it. It's a 40 minute game.

I'm failing to understand how the OP thinks ND "deserved" to win the game. Did they lose on a bad call? No. Did one of their players die on the court? No. Just how did they deserve to Win? We played better when it really mattered. We won. Nuff said.

No. They got tight and/or tired and did not execute well enough down the stretch to close out a game that they almost had in hand.

Again, our depth and ability to execute were the difference in a nail-biter.

Every year we get an ignorant thread like this. Listen OP, the team with the most points at the end of the game DESERVES TO WIN! Notre Dame deserves a hard fought loss, end of story. Save your hippy dippy BS for the YMCA league, where they don't keep score, and everybody deserves a trophy.

Brey has to be sick. His team played as well as they could. He goes against conventional wisdom and attacks the basket rather than try to shoot the 3. Gets UK's worse game of the tourney and still comes up short. Sorry, that's the the type of game where it's a shame there is a loser. Just glad the Cats on the positive side

I don't believe in saying that the other team like in this game ND deserved to Win this game. We had some breakdowns on our Defense. I never thought after the ND Game we would say how Auguste scored 20 and 10reb and nearly beat us but our defense on him was Horrible. I know KAT was in foul trouble but that is where you will see UK like all year underneath merge on the ball and one of the three bigs either blocks or stops the man underneath. I just hadn't see this happen this year how Auguste was so free on those layups and dunks. I just never thought I would see a stat vs. UK this year that a team went 20-26 fgs for layups & dunks not with our Bigs. That is what Coach Cal was discussing after the game in post-game was the break downs on defense tonight and the amount of layups that were made against us. That is where Cal was most disappointing tonight was in our defense and the mental breakdowns on D tonight for the amount of layups and dunks on us. That doesn't normally happen against us this year.

You guys can say whatever you wanna say, but there's not a one of you that didnt think we were beat at some point in tonights game. Notre Dame played a great game, but we are a team of destiny! I'm not sure why you guys are piling on me, because I think what happened tonight was a good thing. We needed this test, and we got it. We rose to the occasion and pulled out a win that we probably didnt deserve. Destiny is on our side! Go cats!!

It was a fight to the finish. Notre Dame can hold their head up high but UK earned this one tonight.
