Some minion from Iowa came over here to chirp about it, but I’m guessing that thread was deleted. She had difficulty putting together constructive sentences. Very well could have been the chick who got nailed in the bathroom when Iowa played at Minnesota. Liquor and meds do funny things to that fan base.

I’ve seen in the braketology thread that you guys don’t think Erstad has any type of offensive philosophy. Do you think that’s part of why Heller hasn’t lost a series to him? #Hellerball is an identity that is constant. Small ball and putting pressure on the defense by having runners in motion. It seems like Iowa had unprecedented success against Nebraska’s starting pitchers the first two games after the first time through the lineup.
Wait...are we still pretending like we care about baseball? I thought that ended like 10 years ago.

There it is. The proverbial watershed moment comment in mid season for an Erstad coached team. Wouldn’t be NU baseball without fans left wondering if this will be the game that forces the team to “go back to basics and just play baseball”.
Not a slam on OP, more a statement for program under Erstad.

I think you’re getting butt hurt for no reason. I’m wondering if having a coach with an identity is a reason for having success against a coach that doesn’t. The teams are irrelevant. It’s just simple baseball talk.

I know it, I seen some of this guys BS on the Iowa board. Then he comes over here and tries and plays this nice guy act.
Oh boy. Took a dropped pop up and an errant throw to get two of those runs, but at least the pitching didn't fold under the pressure of needing to be near-perfect.
So you go to Iowa boards on purpose where people obviously bash anything Nebraska, but get pissy when I come here and do more Iowa bashing than anything else? Seems healthy.

I totally agree with your comment here....it seems that this does happen frequently with an Erstad coached team...the problem is they don't really ever turn the corner...
Leaving countless runners in scoring position and giving up countless 2 out bases empty runs.
The pitch call comes from the dugout as well as the offensive calls. Yes the players need to execute, but something isn't working right now.

Keep in mind that we were definitely in a giving mood to Iowa too. I get tired of seeing us screw up in the field and extend our opponent's time at bat. It gets old to say the least.

You NEVER EVER do what these Husker fans do. When one of our Husker fans get out of line or just talking complete BS that’s absolutely false, the others will actually let that fan know they are wrong. Not just bash to only bash. That’s what you guys do, and some of the BS is just absolutely ridiculous. I mean completely ridiculous.
He didn't post anything that should upset you. He was respectful and was talking about the game and none of his comments were personal.
