Winning takes care of everything. A week ago we lost to an average UGA team at home. A nice win at Arky a really nice win vs Kensucky and a win vs the other Columbia. Complaining because we aren’t ranked solves nothing. I’ve seen a few of the players tweets since the polls came out. We have a tough test vs a tough Tennersee team next. We have to win on the road to get some respect.

Right on the cusp in both - all the teams in that part of the poll have similar seasons at this point. Usually the teams that were already in will get the benefit of the doubt - even if those teams are on the way down, and another team that hasn't been in is on the way up.

I have an issue with voters not valuing wins but value their opinions on what they believe the team should be. Just because you believe the team is the 14th best team in the conference, that doesn’t mean that they truly are and if they are winning against the teams that you viewed to be the best, then rank them properly. Some of these blue bloods can have bad loses throughout the season and still be ranked no matter what.

Yep. The voters seem like they don’t like to be wrong in their rankings and it take for some teams to fall on their face just to be out the top 25. And the teams that they didn’t care for have to prove themselves by beating 3 great teams in a row, which is tough to do in college basketball. Even for a true top 10 team
