Not one word about Pitino

What do you expect from a football, I mean baseball, I mean a cheerleader, I mean a marching band school?

Their board is pathetic and the topics they discuss are stupid. Heads in sand and when it's actually discussed its deleted or locked when facts hit.

I honestly don't think Pitino was super popular. Hadn't been for awhile. It was a kind of grudging respect, even before the hooker scandal.

Jurich? Different story. The adoration for Jurich borders on the religious...or at least the cultish.

What's left to say? Pitino has been fired "for cause" and has talked out of both sides of his mouth to the UofL faithful.

Only thing they can do now is support Padgett and pray for NCAA's incompetence (which seems to be pretty obvious lately) to not give UofL basketball the death penalty.

He's a lying rat to the end, and now the end has come. All those Louisville fans defending him who can't see the truth now and still believe he's the victim of all these things have to be blind and willingly ignorant. This man has taken their school and their team and destroyed it. He's a villain. Period.

Remember this Cardinals fans... It's not personal, it's business. It's never been personal for Rick, just business. If he's caught lying or cheating, it's just business, not personal. But for fans of a school and team, it's personal. He's ripped their hearts out, but he's still scraping and clawing to steal more money from them.

disagree. My good buddy who’s a UL fan is still defending pitino to the death. Refuses to admit pitino ever knew anything. He just caught some bad breaks with these rogue assistants. Poor guy.

I bet most of them secretly didn't like him because of him coaching at UK and constantly bringing up his glory days there and all the players that played there for him. He was winning though and that made it a little easier to deal with. He became our enemy when he took that job. So basically they could use the old saying "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." Now with problem after problem hitting the basketball team and Pitino getting fired, they can go back to hating him.

Rick Pitino thought he was bigger than UK basketball. I'm sure he thought when he came to Louisville that UofL would become the dominant program and that UK fan support would erode somewhat over time to him.

He was no doubt a little irked to go 2-4 vs Tubby, overjoyed when UK hired Billy G, but then stunned Cal showed up and UK dominated him. This was not how his legacy was supposed to play out.

And on the day he was fired, he isn't discussed on their boards as much as he would've hoped.

If he avoids legal trouble with the FBI, he eventually will eventually get caught up in some only-Pitino-would-be-dumb-enough-to-do-this scandal in Miami. That's what the town is good at.

Maybe because there is like 10 posters over on that graveyard. Seriously...look at the posters, its the same 5 to 10 guys talking everyday (circle jerk)
I just visited and your description is perfect. Their message board is dead. Even the football board is dead. What kind of fan base do they have? The comments show shallowness and illogical thinking on their part.

What a eye opener that was.

And incredibly enough, a fair amount of them are still cheering him on every step of the way.

Yep. They have shifted their misguided allegiances to Jurich, the architect of the cesspool. You are also correct in that they are fanatical about it. They may place a statue of him, where they took down the Confederate statue. I just hope they get the turtleneck right. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It's like topic by Zipp. How long until Cal is caught for his cheating? Slappies really think he is innocent. Kerry Rhodes says that's right Zipp. Steelers2012 liked this post.

Many are defending Pitino saying he didn't know anything, but what they can't get through their heads is that that itself is a major problem. Whether he knew or not is moot, he's supposed to know what's going on, if his program is corrupt, it's on him.
