I'd be surprised if there aren't two or three more.
At this point, I’m preparing for a huge difference in next years roster.
Give me Cliff Ron Caleb Paul Jones and with the portal I am confident we will be OK

Two players who many thought were leaving are in fact leaving. Two players who, despite having more eligibility, have graduated from Rutgers.

There is enough kids in the portal to field 75+ teams. It’s just the reality of our world today. No loyalty. Everyone is a bit selfish. It’s everywhere not just basketball.
I agree that fouling will be a problem for Cliff. Personally, I'm not at all confident Reiber. All of which makes PSU Harrar that much more appealing.

Did anybody think we were going to go from zero tournaments in 30 years to making it every season? Many programs are cyclical. We might go a bit but the key question is whether we come back up. Richard Pitino couldn't do it at Minnesota and got fired. Fran McCaffrey had two sub-70 KenPom seasons but bounced back.
I think it depends on what happens with JY.
If he goes to another sweet 16 level tournament team then that’s bad IMO.
If he goes to a blue blood like Kansas, UNC, Duke, etc then I can’t blame him.
If he goes pro then I get it.

Its definitely a solid core. We won't know realistic expectations for this team next season until we see how the portal shakes out.
Rutgers is a B1G team coming off a tournament appearance. There are going to be a thousand kids in the portal. We should be able to land a couple really good players.

You’re probably right, Scangg, but it’s upsettimg watching this sausage get ground up before it’s made.
It's happening all over the country. No reason whatsoever to panic. It sucks yes, but this was never forever. Everybody moves on at some point. Wish them well and move on.
It is upsetting to see this BUT I think this also is a fallback for him. Rutgers has to recruit and can’t wait for him to decide.

He brought us from the laughing stock to tourney in a handful of years. We aren’t going to be as bad as when he arrived no matter what happens.
The two starters were graduating. The overwhelming majority of guys who are graduating and intend to be "Super Seniors" are transferring.
I wouldn't read too much into it until a freshman, sophomore or junior who was a starter, or played starter minutes, enters the portal.
Young should probably get an agent and start getting paid to play somewhere on another continent.

he's the coach who got us to the NCAA Tournament which the previous five coaches couldn't do. And he won the tournament game that the previous six coaches couldn't win.

But I don’t think anyone expected them to be in the portal. To me, entering the portal means I still want to play college ball - but not for you. It may not mean that but it sure feels that way.
