Maybe. Tbe game would have been tied and went to overtime. Our success in overtime hasn't been good. And if he made it we would have won.
If he would have made it the score would have been 36-32 Good guys. Sorry meant made the TDMaybe. Tbe game would have been tied and went to overtime. Our success in overtime hasn't been good.
It was the right decision. It's worth noting this was the wrong decision and the difference in the score. Hopefully Scott learns to take the easy points in games that will likely be close and stop rolling the dice early.
Neither has our FG success. My complaint is not running 235 pound Yant straight ahead. Mich D too fast to run lateral.Maybe. Tbe game would have been tied and went to overtime. Our success in overtime hasn't been good.
Always finding that way to lose. Although, the refs were totally biased disgustingly so. Refs found ways for us to lose moreso. It's worth noting this was the wrong decision and the difference in the score. Hopefully Scott learns to take the easy points in games that will likely be close and stop rolling the dice early.
I didn't mind the rollout, gives an option aspect that's harder to defend. Something in the play just seemed to get broken and Michigan was able to stop it. Good play on their partNeither has our FG success. My complaint is not running 235 LB Yant straight ahead. Mich D too fast to run lateral.
I bet the thinking was that the defense could have an advantage even if they got the ball inside the 5.It was the right decision.

Someone's stubbornness showed again last night. I agree you and I said it last night on here. The right decision would have been to kick the fg. But if not, once we got in the red zone it should have been a steady dose of yant.Neither has our FG success. My complaint is not running 235 pound Yant straight ahead. with rahmir as the lead blockerI hated the call to go for it, against a stout D line, against a good defense in general, you get the points.
If the dog wouldn't have stopped to ****, he would have caught the big rabbit. And if he made the TD we would have won.
Undersized walkon TE Brewington (despite some solid blocking this season) and Rahmir as lead blockers on bigger Mich defenders. They both got blown up. Reminds me of Wandale on goal line last year when Mills was in stud mode.with rahmir as the lead blocker
In hindsight, maybe NU loads up the OL with a couple of tight ends and an extra tackle, and then let AM try to outrace them to the corner. It's gotta force MI to overload the box cause it "looks" like NU is going raw power.Undersized walkon TE Brewington (despite some solid blocking this season) and Rahmir as lead blockers on bigger Mich defenders. I just scratch my head on that scheme. Sure, it’s great if it works, but pre-snap doesn’t look like any advantage on a critical call.
I’m usually all for ballsy play calls, but you take the lead in that situation.
Saying it was the wrong decision is a subjective opinion. I had no issue with the choice to go for it. I did second guess the play calling inside the 10 on that series. If you score a touchdown there it changes the trajectory of the game. Plus, there were at least a half dozen more opportunities to extend scoring drives and we didn't do it, so looking back at the first drive as the difference isn't really a valid way to judge the outcome. Not to mention we had almost 2 minutes left at the end to drive and get a FG or a TD, so there were plenty of chances. It's worth noting this was the wrong decision and the difference in the score. Hopefully Scott learns to take the easy points in games that will likely be close and stop rolling the dice early.
Maybe he doesn’t have any faith in Culp..Take the points
In a game where every point matters it seems like the easy choice. Michigan wasn't going to give much, we expected that going in so take what you can get. I can't say the outcome would've been different but it would've been nice to come up with something rather than nothing after walking right down the field.
First of all, I started my reply by saying "In hindsight." 99.9% of coaches take a FG on the 2 yard line which is nothing more than an extra point.I hate when people do this. If he would have done this, then this would have happened. It doesn't work that way. If Frost elected to kick a field goal, then maybe a different set of circumstances happens through the course of the game. Also, you can't linger on one item of a game, especially when it's something that happened early. Get over the decision. Maybe if the defense would have been able to hold down Michigan once in that fourth quarter, our guys win.
I think Yant will prove to be valuable coming down the stretch, but he went the wrong way on a 2nd and 1 and then we got stoned on 3rd and 1, so seemed like coaches sat him a bit after that and stayed with Rahmir, who played his best game.Someone's stubbornness showed again last night. I agree you and I said it last night on here. The right decision would have been to kick the fg. But if not, once we got in the red zone it should have been a steady dose of yant.
So what if on short yardage everyone knows it's 75% chance yant going to get the ball. Try stopping that guy!!
It wasnt, it was a stupid decision. You give ur underdog team a lead, and confidence starting off the game.It was the right decision
