They're going to Cancun next year so I don't think too many people are going to complain, I can assure you I'm not.Return to SC next year is a mistake. Even for the early games the crowds are 90% wvu...
The best BBQ I have had was in SC and I have eaten at some of the top rated places across the country.Yucatán cuisine is much better than Carolina BBQ
Even if they think so South Carolina doesn't know much about BBQ.
Cancun is the home of pork marinated in citrus and home of rellenos.
Have to eat some Poc chuc.

I'm still not sure what his point was and I don't know what you're so worked up about. I was just pointing out that WVU already had a tournament for next year and South Carolina wasn't an option. Also because of the limited space at the Myrtle tournament there will likely be similar numbers of WVU fans at next year's tournament. I took 50 people through my travel agency five years ago and hope to do far more next year. The Cancun games were packed with WVU fans. So no it's not just another TV opportunity or for the "new definition" of media.Come on Vernon. Really. The point would seem to be that it is easy for a lot of WV fans who can get to SC for Heaven's sake...but Cancun is just another TV opportunity...not an easy travel. Not the same. Games should be accessible for fans too...not just members of the new definition of media. lol
What people are told is South Carolina BBQ and what you can get in SC are often two different things. There's definitely some great places in the state, some serve what you're referring to and many other do not.Must have not been authentic S Carolina BBQ.
Their BBQ is yellow and looks like pig ****.
By all accounts S Carolina BBQ is the worst of all BBQ styles.
Mustard has no place in BBQ
I actually agree with you about the mustard. This place was a hole in the wall but everything simply is delicious. 12 Bones in Asheville is considered a top BBQ place but they tend to over cook their pull pork leaving it dry. BBQ needs to be moist and juicy before you put any sauce on it to be good.Must have not been authentic S Carolina BBQ.

Yeah that's basically what I just said but thanks for the BBQ lesson.I can get any BBQ in the world in S Carolina but it doesn't make it S Carolina BBQ.
A lot of places have unique styles to their BBQ.
What is unique to S Carolina is a mustard based sauce.
You can get other sauces in the state but they originated from elsewhere.

Demographics. Lot of WVA retirees in the area and it gives them a chance to see their beloved WVU team live and in person (remember not all retirees can travel to Morgantown or stomach the Mexican waters). Also, it provides some of us a reason to take an extended Thanksgiving holiday, head down to South Carolina, spend some time with family, and watch WVU play some hoops. So, it becomes a family experienceThey're going to Cancun next year so I don't think too many people are going to complain, I can assure you I'm not.
It's actually a fantastic facility just small. Others could learn a lot from how it's setup. This 3,000 seat HS gym is crap
Which is why WVU played in it this year and will again in a few years. It's just unfair to expect them to every season. And I have a house about five minutes away so no wants them here more than me.Demographics. For what it is, it’s a nice facility and because it’s so small you’re close to the action. This 3,000 seat HS gym is crap

WVU is a draw wherever it goes. The loss is SC's, not WVU's. I think that's what the OP meant.
My ideal early-season tournament would be West Virginia, Duke, North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio State, Kansas, Kentucky, Villanova.
That would rival March Madness. Or be a precursor to the Elite Eight many seasons.
