Who is a fan not from the state?

I am from North Carolina and became a Husker fan at the age of five. My dad was cheering for the Huskers against the Canes in 94 because he didn't like the way the u carried themselves... I became a fan because of Tom Osborne and his way of doing things.

I went to the Wake Forest game in Winston Salem 11 years ago proudly wearing my Husker gear. I went with my high school coach who got me tickets. I still wish to make a pilgrimage to Lincoln and the state itself someday.

Also hoping Nebraska will get up with UNC, NC State or Duke in the future, if not Wake again. We had more fans at Wake than they did! I got to experience the Sea of Red at BB and T field!

GO BIG RED!!!

I am originally from Long Island (born in NYC). I did attend UNL for one year 1974-1975.

I have been in Virginia since early 2001, working in DC. I have been a Husker Football fan since the 1971 Orange Bowl when Bob Devaney and his team beat LSU to win their first National Championship.

Never lived in Nebraska. Spent the majority of my life in Alaska before stints in Tulsa and Houston left me in Oklahoma City. Love the city of Lincoln, wouldn't mind living there someday.

I will say, whenever I see a Husker fan in the wild it gets old feeling like they turn their nose up at me not being from the state as if I didn't earn being a Husker fan. I've stuck it through the most difficult of years, so I've paid my dues.

Born and raised in Olathe Kansas (suburb of KC) and still live here. Never attended UNL, never lived a day of my life in Nebraska, but have been a Husker since age 9. Dad was born and raised in Nebraska. Extended family in Lincoln and Wayne. Best friend growing up moved to Olathe from Holdrege. Never been a Jayhawk or a Wildcat, always a Husker.

1. Huskers
2. Royals
3. Chiefs

In that order. Would trade a World Series and a Super Bowl for a Husker National Title any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

That's crazy, you deserve more credit as a Husker fan who never lived here. I hope to meet you someday and give you a GBR!!!!

Born in Colorado, raised properly by my parents who were alums from Ralston and Norfolk.
I grew up in Ralston, born in Illinois, went to NU, But I've never seen or heard of any NU fan turning their nose up at any other NU fan as stated above. On the contrary they go out of their way to greet other NU fans

One thing I think of once in a while. Would I prefer a Husker football game or a Who concert with Keith Moon?

The Huskers win again !!!

I was born in California but both my parents were born / raised in Nebraska. We moved back to Nebraska when I was in the 2nd grade and then moved back to California when I was in the 5th grade. I became a Husker fan while watching the 1971 OU vs. NU game with my family and my brothers wife's family, who are from Oklahoma.

17 tackles for Rich Glover
versus Tom Brahaney.

Born and raised in NW Kansas 18 miles from the Nebraska line. Father went to high school in Woodriver and raised us as Huskers. I went to school at Doane as my athletic abilities were more along that level.
Huskers
Broncos
Royals(Rockies didn't exist)
Also root for the Jayhawks when not in conflict with Nebraska.

Born in California, Dad in the military. Spent a few years in Bellevue (Dad at Offutt). Life long Husker fan, as Dad taught me well. Live in Ohio, for last 20 years, married an Ohio State alum, so the Big10 will hopefully work out in the future.

Born in Oregon to two Nebraska transplants, earliest I can remember watching them was the failed 2 pt conversion in maybe the 83 orange bowl. Saw a lot of bowl losses after but always loved the big red. Loved the 90s living in Seattle and seeing Frost truck the huskies in 97. Been to a couple games in Lincoln and watched about all of them on TV. Follow them and the Seahawks mostly with some Huskies thrown in. I love the state and would definitely consider a move for comparable work.

He had a phenomenal game, the only one that comes close is suh in the big 12 championship game against the shorthorns. And I'll give the tip to glover because he won and suh came up short

We also had All-American Larry Jacobson in that game. BTW, one the Oklahoma guards was Ken Jones from Omaha. Not sure but I think he played at Burke.

Or did he play high school football from one of the lincoln schools? I do remember a offensive lineman on OU that was from Nebraska
