LSU was 8-15 fts so not much better. If you're a ff team , you win this game.
Exactly. A loss when you play your best, you take it and move on. But when you play timid, commit stupid mistakes, it becomes a loss that sucks the life and enthusiasm out of the fan base. We don’t have to win them all but we gotta win some. Until we can win consistently on the road we will not be a Final 4 team. Right now we look like a team that loses in the first round.

I don’t think that’s happened in a few years. Those were the good ole days losing to KSU and Auburn no our fan base has been tainted with lowered expectations. If it goes much longer our bb program will have difficulty recovering. I look at cal and I don’t see a coach on fire I see a guy going through the motions trying whatever to see if it works. Good coaching would have won the game. LSU is not a good team

But he made a few of those against Nowhere U. I agree with you. We are not good.

Cal will let it go on all season, and shore it up for the ncaa tournament. I don't get it. Losing games to balance ego's I guess.

I don't know that it is all Cal's fault, but I do agree that we should have won tonight. This team is so fragile that the loss of the smallest guy on the team sent it into a state of panic. LSU was bad enough that we should have easily won the game even with a couple of missing players. Also, we need to stop with taking players out of the game just because of two first half fouls. We went 10 minutes without scoring a point and still had a chance to win. If we had just come down court and took the first open shot, that would have been better than forcing the ball into turnovers. UK just makes the game much harder than it should be.

We can't seem to win on the road ever.
Do you watch the games? The only way uk was winning the game tonight was by pure luck. Road games that involve a major team in conf almost makes me turn on the sport of college basketball. On every single possession there was at least one foul that wasn't called, but that seemed to be ok. Balls deflected out of bounds and obviously off the team the refs are giving the ball to. Coming on here and every single fan complaining about things that will soon be forgotten with a couple of good wins. Until the next time it happens on the road. Wasnt it our 2011 team that lost every single road conference game, but went to the title game? I've become numb to this and it's easy to see that refs control games by the point spreads. If we had won tonight fans would say" well that was a great hard fought win", still having an entire game called terribly just to make it close for tv

I agree. FT killed us tonight.
But this team played hard, and to be in the game without Wheeler, half the game with Oscar in foul trouble and Washington out late in the game, Is amazing.
I wasn't going to post anything, but after following others post negative things on cof Blues, I decided it was time for a positive,
sane post. Thanks wildcatglenn.
To all the outrageous unrealistic negative posters, just go find another team to root for.
No, we did not play our best, but we were shorthanded, on the road against a good top
25 team. Be realistic, we are a good team.
Go Big Blue.

Unrealistic ? To be ahead 9 midway thru the 2nd held and give up something like a 20-2 run ? And a " good" top 25 team ? LSU isn't **** , we just dint have a balanced enough team to overcome anything . Did Oscar look prepared to guard another big that can shoot the 3 ? Did we really have to rely on Lance Ware to go 0-4 from the FT line ? We were lucky Toppin played insanely well in half 1 or we are down 10 plus .. another reason .. LSU isn't very good , such terribly low expectations .. I will to those questioning Wheelers toughness ... STOP IT .

It's not that you're not mad because of the excuses you offered. It's because you're used to losing and have started to accept it.

If we make the tournament. Right now unless something spiritual happens, this team will have road losses at just about every stop on the schedule except Vanderbilt. Throw in a Kansas blowout and you’re looking at 12 losses minimum. I would rather be playing the younger guys and get them some game experience, especially on the road. Brooks? I’m over him. He needs to be put at the end of the bench. Give his minutes to Toppin.
