Wilhite has trimmed his list to Michigan State, Nebraska and UCLA.

The Spartans made a strong early pitch for playing time and role. The Bruins have the advantage of being closest to home. And the Huskers’ defensive braintrust — line coach Terrence Knighton, defensive coordinator Tony White and head coach Matt Rhule — have given Wilhite something to chew on, too.
“I like their defense,” Wilhite said. “Their coaches design it based on the opponent. Each week, it changes, so it keeps the offense on its toes and to the defense’s advantage. I really like that part.”
The deciding factor, Wilhite said, comes down to his family’s input.

“I’ve been talking to them, seeing how they feel about it, because I don’t want leave my family out of this process,” Wilhite said. “Whatever I do, they’re going to be affected by it. I want to stay close to them. Whatever we decide, that’s my choice.

“On most of these visits, I’ve tried to get a feel for the place, tried to get a feel for my fit for the community, and I’ll try to bring my family along with me, because they’re planning to go wherever I go in college.”
Wilhite said he anticipated announcing his decision on social media this week.

According to Sean Callahan, Keona Wilhite's in-home visit with Rhule that was scheduled for Friday has been cancelled. Expect him to sign with UCLA.
I figured as much. Wants to stay close to home and family. Oh well. We have studs on D. Not worried about losing him.
