This game will tell us a lot. If we lose this we might not win another one this year. UCLA is no longer a guaranteed win either. Maybe they will spin it as Rhule being distracted by the PSU job but this happened last year going 1-5. it’s starting to become a pattern that I don’t think Rhule knows how to fix.

I’m conflicted because if we do win out he probably leaves for PSU. If we go 0-5 we probably keep him and repeat this same scenario next year with a much harder schedule.

Whoever is the head coach next year, I just hope it’s someone that wants to be here and help the team improve from week to week.

It seems something that simple is a lot to ask for around here. As though solid fundamental football can’t be achieved here anymore for some reason. With each week we manage to go backwards instead of moving forwards.

With our defensive shortcomings along with a DC who is getting more and more easily read by OC's, combine that with the marginal talent in the OLine, the lack of mobility of DR, and the ceiling has been met.

We can't win at a reasonably high rate if we can't run or effectively stop the run, if we can't protect our QB combined with being unable to pressure the opposing QB. It just doesn't work against equally talented teams.

This is the third year in a row where the team has failed to improve as the year goes along. The early season gimmicks, fluff and bulls**t don't work against real football teams. As the year goes along, even the NU players begin to see through that facade.

This is our superbowl this year. Lets enjoy it. Should be a good game...I think we will play much better, but if we don't we will fall apart, and likely implode the rest of the season. The point of the Nebraska cornhuskers is entertainment. Win lose or draw the rest of the season should be entertaining. Even just watching Rhule navigate the inevitable losing while blaming others and not taking responsibility in a dwindling hope that he gets the Penn State job. My hope is that he wins out, gets the PSU job and we can move on to a coach that isn't just waiting to leave Nebraska. But the other end of the stick will also be entertaining.
