I've found Purdue and Sparty to be the most down to earth and fun
OSU is intense
Nitts are a cult
IU bball is cult
Michigan is beyond arrogant
NW was fine in 113
Iowa was a bit strange

Still difficult to reconcile with how opposed they were to our admission in the B1G. So still ticks me off and makes them hard to root for. I’m conflicted.

Likewise if FSU ever applies to the B1G we should symbolically vote against them as they actively campaigned against RU to join the ACC. Screw them. Shoe’s on the other foot and payback is a b*tch.

There was almost a fight in the row behind me last night between two 40 something year old women. Sitting behind me were RU fans. I assume to be a 40 something mom with her teen kid. Behind them was a NU 40 something woman. The NU fan was having a good time for the first half and most of the second half but she had a high pitched voice/scream. Her cheering wasn’t a problem but the pitch of her voice was terrible. As RU made a comeback, Buie hit a big shot and the NU fan made a weird high pitched sound. The RU fan turned around and said can you stop. They had words back and forth. At one point the RU fan said stop touching me and I heard something to the effect of let’s take it outside. When RU went on a run at the end the NU fan sat down and wasn’t heard from again.

Northwestern is a private university like Duke with a small student body compared to other B1G Ten schools.

Did this happen in the upper part of section 305/306? There was a very annoying high pitched screech coming from that location the entire first half plus a good part of the second. I can put up with chants like boiler up or we are but this was at another level of annoying. I’m glad the woman Rutgers fan spoke up.

Last night was the first time I’ve ever seen anyone wearing NW gear, and the first time I’ve seen a NW fan

They seemed nice and not snobbish like other private school elites - maybe years if of only having moderate success in major sports makes them a humble bunch

- She told me she was from New Jersey and I told her that supporting Northwestern is what’s wrong with people in the state of New Jersey.

- She asked me what the whole arena was chanting at the refs after the horrid call and she was appalled when I said everyone was yelling “Ref you suck”.
