Yes and his injury meant a back up corner who got hit in the chest with the ball had me made that interception I believe we still take that game. I went and watched N Surry Friday night

Hard to believe Salisbury with 2 wins on season. What did you think of North Surry? They had a soft non-conference schedule

and kingbluedevil, you keep talking about NS non conf schedule, weird, the RPI didn’t mind it at all. Salisbury and WS would be a toss up imo. Much respect to Lowman and WS. They have gotten better as season has went and did beat NS by 6 (without Leftwich)

This is my run down in our thread
"Now a run down of last night's game scouting report you may say lol. Salisbury is young and not very good. They beat North Surry with speed on the outside for big gains. But when the field shrunk near end zone they could not move the ball at all. QB had some nice throws that WRs just dropped.. but the constant stall outs is what beat Salisbury. Now North surry. Good fundamental team but lotta cracks in their armour. For one as Greyhounds they are not very fast lol. #3 wr/RB is their main weapon and #0 RB isn't bad. Big line but honestly didnt impress me. QB saw a lotta pressure and he doesn't do well under pressure makes bad throws and threw interception. He will run and can pick up yards but wouldn't say dangerous. #0 RB runs low he tends to get the ball at looks bottled up but slips under the the line and pops out the other side for big gains. #3 wr/RB is all over the place made plays out of bad tackling of Salisbury. On catches and took handoffs as a more power back for good gains. N surry defense can't handle speed they do well if they can keep play between tackles. Not a lotta pressure for their size just clogged the middle up. They give cushions on pass plays that will get them against passing teams."

Fair enough, I do think it took NS a qtr to adjust to the speed of Salisbury. It was 40-13 NS after the 1st qtr and some change as Salisbury built a 13-0 lead. Maiden is a heck of a program and always has some size and several athletes and are well coached. It appears to me based on schedule and results that Maiden could very well compete for the West title. Record is very deceiving.
Our defense is a different level than Salisbury. Honestly besides a couple quarters in conference play our defense is probably one of the best in 4a
No clear cut favorite in the West 3a or 4a. Last year Monroe was on another level.
They usually do but it's over 3 hours so I wouldn't expect a big crowd.
