North Davidson at Reagan

North adds a field goal with 7:07 to go in the half. 10-0 Knights.
Sloppy play on both sides so far. Reagan has thrown 2 interceptions and ND one. Penalties abound

Reagan returns the kickoff for a TD. Reagan returner caught it outside the end zone, went in the end zone and brought it all the way back. 10-7 ND
North responds with a nice drive capped by a TD run on 4th and 3. 21-17 Raiders with 5:19 in the 3rd
Reagan drives down to the 5 but North holds them to a FG. 24-17 Reagan with 50 seconds in the 3rd
North D with a big 3 and out highlighted by back to back sacks. Offense starts at midfield with 9 mins left
Observations:
It was a better game than I thought it would be. I thought Reagan would control the game more convincingly. North has alot to work on, in particular their special teams coverage. On the other hand X. Hayes looked really good and will be difficult for many teams to stop this year.
Defense played well most of the game but wore down in the second half.
Reagan was huge up front but the pass rush looked pretty good against them.
North may go 1-4 against the non conference but will still be in the hunt for the MPC title based on first impressions. Ledford should go unbeaten against a soft schedule. I will check out Oak Grove tomorrow against SWG. Right now I've got them as the top three and wouldn't be surprised if there is a three way tie this year... JMO
