Norm was good. Comedians point to him as one of the best in the biz. Too soon.

I read before this roast he knew everyone was going to be doing super dirty jokes and he didn't want to look hacky doing the same thing. His solution was to look up a bunch of old timey corny jokes and use them as his roasts. A lot of people thought he bombed, yet every comedian on the show was pissing their pants because they got the joke.

Norm was in peak form when he hosted the ESPY's. Making fun of a bunch of guys that are used to being told how awesome they all are. Well done sir. You even got in an OJ dig as a personal F-U to SNL and Dick Ebersol.
