Don't know for sure but speculation is primarily the mass exodus of fans vs LA tech before we came back and won and a similar response vs LSU before we almost staged a big comeback. Also, sorry but I agree with Fatboy. I don't think our QB should ever be referred to in that manner even it is in jest to make fun of those who do it out of meaness.

People give up in football if we are down a score and in basketball if we’re down 5. The amount of people who are like “Ok, time to go mow the yard” whenever we’re down in the first half of a game is just astounding. I honestly struggle to picture them holding jobs because, you know, things don’t always go your way

If Will is going to play QB in the SEC, or almost anywhere else, he has to learn to ignore the fans in the bad times and the good times. Criticism and praise both just go with the position. Failure to tune it all out will allow it to creep into the area between his ears and then it will start to affect his decision making and overall play. Hopefully someone on our staff will council him on this. Any time an athlete gets confrontational with his fan base it eventually ends badly for everyone.

there are plenty of fans getting criticized. Over on Jean's, they call them Negative Nellies.

We are all fans and we all want the same things or we wouldn't be here posting about it. Will finally did what many fans have been begging him to do for four games and he had a great game as a result. His comments are a bad look. If he doesn't want to catch grief from the fans, maybe he should've not engineered seven straight empty possessions against a horrid Memphis team. What happened Saturday doesn't unscrew that fiasco, but it does provide some hope that he is getting better. His job is to continue getting better, not get the red *** because someone made a critical comment about him. These are real world learning opportunities for him. You're never going to please everyone and when you do have some success, it's on you to keep proving yourself over and over.

I criticize where I see fit to criticize play. Will played much better this past game. I would like to see him keep that up and be able to thrown down field more often on a rope. I think that is where you will see this offense take off

1. I’m a Will Rogers fan. I think he’s been amazing for a guy ten or so games in. He’s a talented quarterback and an exceptional leader.

2. These kinds of comments aren’t the way to do it. Hope he keeps winning, because if not his shots at our fans are going to turn it really toxic. You’d think his coach dad would have given him a better idea of what to expect.

The moral of the story for me is that I’m fine with Rogers doing what he wants in his free time, and he can sure as hell wear a chip on his shoulder based on what he reads, sees, and hears.

Just don’t verbalize it. Nothing good will ever come from biting the hand that feeds you, and it really is as simple as that.

I'm only reacting to what I'm reading here as being attributed to him. But when you **** the bed against La Tech and Memphis, you can't fault fans for not getting excited about coming to an 11am game.

Declining attendance isn't a problem unique to us, either.

LOL! Don't call players from other schools names but your own players are fair game? Yeah that makes sense. Or could it be that rule #18 did not reasonably envision fans using disparaging names for players on THEIR OWN TEAM. As far as comments on Moorhead is concerned, you have a point but I would say highly compensated coaches who were hired to lead a multi-million dollar FB program is a bit different than a teenager just getting a scholarship.
