Non-DWS Campus Construction

For those of us who haven't been to campus in a while, are there any other major projects going on right now? From what I remember, the south entrance is supposed to be the next big road project, and the parking garage by the post office the next building.

Been working on lee hall for about 3 years it feels now.. That's getting old

Per the plans I have seen. A new building that will house the current physical plant folks. Also a new ice plant facility that will serve in cooling water for campus, MSU classroom building & parking garage, Fresh Foods Facility and YMCA renovation.

we need an msu hit list. undoubtedly, the first on the list would be dorman. for me, number two would be the bost extension center followed a few other cold war soviet architecture buildings. not a fan of aggregate buildings.

Have they done anything to Allen Hall?

It looks like the inspiration for it was the shields in Space Invaders.

There is little things changing across campus this summer

I pointed out one recently that I think will cause a lot of grief this fall for fans:

If there are any areas of campus where a pic is requested I will make a note of it and check it out. Lee Hall and DWS are certainly two main focus points as for ongoing projects. I went and listened to Sid Salter give a presentation last week, and he mentioned what is ahead for MSU. There are certainly some changes coming to our campus to get excited about.

Seems like they could have torn the thing down and rebuilt it by now. ALso hear that once it's finished the presidents office is moving over there.

Spring 2014. The can't tear it down. Too much history in that building.

One big change I've seen - In front of the Bakery & Florist shop is one way now. The traffic flow is going towards the Union. Also they changed the one way in front of police station & Chapel of Memories. It is now going towards the stadium instead of Chapel of Memories & post office. So, if you are coming from behind the Chapel of Memories you will have to turn right and go on the road by the police station.

People tailgating on Bell Island getting in may be a little different.
