Feeling a little frisky tonight and honestly I would not have expected this comparison to being even remotely close in November.

Question is would Perry made more of an impact than Noah this season under Pope? I could see an argument for it.

Trent Noah
10.6 mpg
3-2.3-0.5

Travis Perry
15.8 MPG
5.1-1.6-1

Just to make it clear I think both under performed vastly to where we thought they'd be in year 2.

Noah was coming along nicely at the end of last season. Must be a girl involved.

Noah this year when he's had an open look hesitates. We've all seen it.

Travis is pulling no questions asked... yeah we lose a bit on rebounds but he may of made the difference in a game or two this season.

Noah’s the better player right now. Perry would need to have a much better shooting output to be a better player than Noah. Noah’s close to serviceable as a defender and can grab contested rebounds. Perry is a shooter who can’t shoot and doesn’t offer much more. Still think Perry will wind up the better player by both of their senior seasons, but neither is great right now.

Perry committed just 2 turnovers in 4 SEC tournament games - Rebounded great - many assists + 7 pts per game.
Ky could have used him this year after Lowe went down.
Coach Beard will have him at 10 & 5 & 6 next year.
Scratch golfer too.
He ain't scratch. I'll play him straight up for his NIL check.

I have to disagree. Perry is a better ball handler, passer, and shooter. Neither can defend. Noah can rebound. Did you watch Perry today? Yesterday? Even the eye test shows Perry is better.

Both stink. It does make me sad though that Noah couldn’t develop into an undersized stretch 4 that survives on defense with smarts and toughness while being a knockdown 3 point shooter.

I’d probably advise Trent to transfer down a level of conference to where he could make it as a 3. I just don’t know if he’s making so much money off local NIL that he doesn’t feel like he can leave.

He shot 10 for 31 combined in those 4 games, 32% from the field. He averaged 5 points a game on a team that went 15 and 20. Most people here are ready to run Jasper Johnson off this year. He averaged the same 5 points per game on a better team. We didn't need Perry lol

Noah lost his shot. Gotta be one of the worst individual developments of our season. Perry looked pretty damn serviceable today, but I gather it took him some time to get there. I can’t remember who left first, Perry or Lewis, but our backcourt didn’t promise a lot of spare minutes last summer. I don’t begrudge Perry’s decision. I fear the best next step for Noah may be a fresh start elsewhere.

We 100% could’ve used Perry this season but, especially after the injury’s.

Perry didn't score a point on Wed.
He had a nice three game run.tbat was better than his season as a whole.
Ole Miss is 15-20 and losing 4 of their top 5 scorers and will have to pony up to keep Pinkins.
So it's basically a new team team for Ole Miss next year.
Who knows how PT and role will shake out for Perry next season.

This on Noah. He looks scared to death when he gets the ball. I don't think I saw him drive the ball to the bucket this year at all. May be wrong but if he did, I missed it.
He has that game in him, really perplexes me.

Perry improved with coaching. Had he stayed here he doesn’t get the coaching.

He would have regressed just like Noah.

Perry looked extremely comfortable and confident yesterday. Wll be interesting to see him develop as I see him staying as long as Beard does.

Some of y'all still wanted Dontaie Allen on this team after he entered the portal. The obsession with subpar Division 1 players never ends for kids from the state.
