I didn't see this brought up but I feel like this could be a good topic of conversation. Noah Dickerson is looking to transfer from Washington and stated that Duke reached out to him. I believe he is 6'8 235-240. I think he would have 2 years of school remaining if he came to Duke. Thoughts on this guy as a potential transfer?

Don't know that we should be looking at any other big men right now. With Bolden coming back and Carter coming in, I really would like to use Javin and Vrank instead. Neither one of them got near enough time this year to suit me, and I sure don't want to see them riding the pine next year!
Hopefully, if we are looking at anyone, it would be a PG.
Go Duke!

It looks like he doesn't know where he wants to play.
Committed to Georgetown originally, then reopened his recruitment and signed with Florida. After Donovan left Florida he asked for (and received) his release and went to Washington. Now, he's ready to find another destination. I can understand leaving Florida because the coach he signed with left, but still seems he has a little bit of nomad in him.
But K and Duke know about all this, so they must feel confident in reaching out to him (if in fact Duke did).

Is this a grad transfer or would he have to sit out a year?

I'm all for getting a big to come in after next year. Carter and Bolden will most likely be gone, so nothing wrong with having depth at the 4 spot.

He might be able to apply for hardship transfer since the coach was fired. Not sure how that works, regardless, Bolden and Carter will likely be gone, and they need more depth than just Vrankovic and Javin for the year after. I haven't heard much positive on the big man front for the 18 season, with Zion more than likely not coming here, but who knows what's goin anymore.

Anyone heard anything positive or negative on our recruitment of Marvin Bagley? He looks to be a pretty special pf from 2018 class.

Would love to get him but I have a feeling he stays out west and goes to Arizona or ucla... no knowledge of the situation and just a total guess but I don't think we get him

Sounds to me he has a hard time fulfilling commitment but that is pretty normal with the present day recruits but if the Duke staff feels he can help by all means come on. OFC

washington just lost romar and their entire team is leaving for the nba, transferring, or asking out of their LOI's - they are in for a tough season

Dickerson was solid (i have season tickets to CU bb so i watched him a few times) and i thought he seemed pretty solid.

I fully understand the commitment issues given everything, but at least if he did transfer to duke now it would be hard to make sense of him leaving unless via grad transfer.
