Sad news for Noa. He came to Nu to try to up his game but it didn’t turn out for him. Really wish things would have turned out a different way for him

However, this will give Frost a chance to add a playmaker on the field with Luke.

would also love to see a 3 man backfield with Luke, AM, & Mills. The same way the Ravens run their “Heisman package”.

Lets put Wandale and JD out there too. Playmakers everywhere, get weird with it.

Tough news for the kid and team. As for Friday, it will be shocking if WRs play a role in this game if the weather forecast holds. Advantage Nebraska imo.

Iowa it deeper at RB, but Stanley is neutered if he can’t sling it, whereas AM is a threat in the run game, with fewer decisions needing to be made...and maybe the best runner on the field.

Mills and AM will have to carry the load. Look for Iowa to show more Young and Sargent vs the Freshman Goodsen (he’s smaller) - another break for Neb.

kicking game and TOs will be bigger than ever. Iowa has a decided advantage in the kicking game, TOs May decide this on a cold, wet and slick day- provides the forecast holds

I imagine you will see them use McCaffery a ton this week.

Oh...and hell, get Vedral into the mix as well. That probably seems a bit silly, but Nebraska has a few of back up QBs in McCaffery and Vedral who are both vastly superior runners to any of Dedrick's back ups.

This is the game where we should pull out all the stops and go for broke. We need to be innovative on offense and put Iowa on its heels. If we come out early and confuse them we might get ahead early which is key. Iowa’s strength is not their offense.

I thought it was reported that Noa was done for the year some time ago already. Don't think this is really new news.
You may be right, this was the first official type announcement I had heard.

Noa did a lot of good things for us. I would say he's probably the best blocking receiver we have and made a lot of nice grabs. Unfortunately our QB's couldn't hit him when he was open. Wish him all the best.

That was Noa-Pola Gates, the freshman safety/corner, this is Kanavi (sp?) Noa, the receiver. Confusing, I know.

Noa is probably already back in CA before the snow flies. If he's smart he is, anyway.

I really don't get the hate for these passes. Yes, the first play against Maryland this happened and the play got blown up, but a couple plays later Mills gained 16 on one of those passes and Allen had a long reception don the field faking this action later in the game. Overall, the horizontal passes have been some of our best plays this year, getting JD and Wandale into space. We just don't have the vertical game to go with it this year.

Different play, mills went in motion. The static bubble with 21 personnel has been a disaster all year.
