If Wan’Dale is out and Washington likely done for year, these next 3 games will be interesting.

I am just amazed how Mills has done so little. Came in with such high hopes. The guy can't do much of anything unless there is a moster hole. Had no ability to cut or make a move. Seems to run with his head down and run right into the backs of guys. I admit our line sucks so it isn't all on him, but man.

yea, he's 1 yard behind adrian for tops on the team in rushing, leads the team in TDs and avgs 4.4 ypc while also owning the longest rush of the year.

what a bust.

Well, "maybe" a young Bo Jackson could have success running the ball with our grossly inept OLine. Other than him though......

I’m more disappointed how Maurice Washington played out/finished out. I really had high hopes for him. I suppose he could work his way back starting with next year but none of us will know till we are playing games and if he plays or not.

I have a feeling Washington will no longer be part of the program. Sensing the way Frost has deflected questions about him lately.

Only reason I’d be ok with him coming back is his pure talent. Those guys are hard to come by.
I just don't see him staying healthy enough on the field to make a substantial difference.

Off the field he was a basket case. If he isn't hurt at times he would probably be suspended anyways.

Mills has been woefully underused. His vision isn't very good but with their situation at RB they need to get him carries in situations where he can be successful instead of square-peg-round-holing RBs who don't have the size and power to be inside runners.

Only reason I'd want him back is if he grows up. We shouldn't be in the position where we have to rely on his talent. Several teams in the top 25 have equal or better talent than him all over their roster. He's really not that special.

You can't always run to the outside with Wandale and telegraph where the play is going to go. Wandale has plenty of muscle mass to handle running inside. His vision needs to get better. He's had some opportunities for cutbacks or bouncing it outside for big gains, but sometimes he misses those opportunities.

He's an NFL talent whether he has the maturity and work ethic to get it done remains to be seen

if he was to apply himself, look out. Dudes doing what he has done without trying hard. If dude flips it...watch the hell out.

I really want Washington back mostly to help Washington. I think Frost and the team can really help him if he is willing to accept it. If he departs I don't kow how things will end up for him.

Wandale is special. Washington is a talented kid and could be special, but right now his drama isn't worth it.

One of these two has plenty of character. the other not so much. One will be around in the future and the other one won't.

agree.. he has been trying, but I blame a big part of it on utilization. they haven't been good at using his strengths at all. I think a majority of coaches would have gotten a lot more consistent play out of him. I blame the coaching staff and this silly scheme where nobody can get into a rhythm because it's constantly changing every 2 plays with something cute and unnecessary.
NikkiSixx blames the coaches?!?! No way!Smokin

This thread is interesting if nothing else.

Wandale has the muscle mass? Really? The kid is small and takes a terrible beating as a RB. He hits the hole hard and has quickness in the hole. That is what saves him. Another guy too small to make through an entire season. Get him back in the slot where he needs to be.

Don't people see a pattern with these small kids? The pounding adds up quickly and their availability gets less and less. Washington was not strong physically or mentally and the pounding caught up to him. He certainly didn't do enough in the off season to build his body up. He needed to be gone as he brought very little to the team on any kind of consistent basis aside from the drama.

Mills is underutilized. His fumbling early put him in the doghouse. He has made some nice plays but given few chances as Frost goes with the hot hand of Wandale but that may be over. I would like to see what Mills could do with a steady diet of trying to establish the run.

Wandale does have good muscle mass for a true freshman at his position. Dude is just short.....but he plays BIG!
