mich st last year

This.

But point taken. From what I can tell you have to go back to 2012 against Michigan. We held them to three field goals. So yes, keeping an opponent out of the end zone has been a rare occurrence over the past 7-10 years.

Reminds me of a tweet someone had during the Colorado game about the first time something happening since the 2018 Iowa game. Uh, that was just two games ago, all that means is it didn't happen against South Alabama. (I don't recall what the actual stat was.)

When was the last time Nebraska D held an opponent to zero touchdowns?

It’s been a bit. Like your saying, not counting the blizzard like game against MSU...yeah we’d have to go back several years. Our defense this year has definitely improved. We are sound against the run and progressing on the pass defense. But having Cam Taylor and D. Williams hurt...that has me a bit worried.

I think a more pertinent question is, when was the last time our backups got in and received meaningful playing time?

Great effort by the D last night... The defense played well and like the o-line they didn't commit any penalties to extend drives and put us in bad situations. And how about the goal-line stand???

Did they play well enough on D to earn the right to wear the "alternate" black jerseys?

Wouldn’t have to be a home game to wear them?
Next week it’s in Champaign.

I’m not so sure it’s a good idea just because SF is thinking of using this Philosophy .. What happens when the game they would wear them they get boat raced on defense?
