I had already forgotten about him.

Just one of the oh so many former 4* ‘guys’ who don’t stick around.

I saw a list the other day (only vaguely remembering the totals) showing how approx 26 scholly players have left in last few years (#1 in our division). Couple division schools were ‘close’ but others had maybe 11, and I remember NW had 3.

I would all but guarantee other schools with a lot of turnover (like MN) weren’t losing a bunch of 4* like we have.

I know it’s all been posted before, but always worth a reminder for context.

Mike Riley signed a bunch of 4 stars with terrible attitudes, poor work ethic, and illogical senses of worth. Hell, even many of the dudes he missed out on have gone on to transfer from the programs they chose.

Has anybody ever transferred from NU and had a successful career? I'm sure it has had to have happen but for the life of me I can't think of anybody.

I guess Aaron Green had an alright year or two but nothing that you'd expect from a 5 star.

It’s a good question- how many transfers found success elsewhere?

mentioning Green, Braylon Heard in same class did ok.

Aaron Curry also transferred to TCU, but I dont remember if he was in the same class. He did end up being second team all Big XII at some point, though.

I can think of two. Maurice McCloney was a good wingback who lettered as a soph in 1978 then transferred to Texas, where he also played well. More impressive was OL Keith Bishop, who lettered as a soph in '76, transferred to Baylor, and was eventually a #1 draft choice. Played a long time for the Broncos.
