I didn't follow the case but from what I have heard it sounds like justice was served just fine.

I think this was a very cut and dried case - it was murder. I think the people trying to use this to promote cries of racism are nuts, or bad people. I think many on the left are unwilling to just stand up and say that, because they fear angering their own people, and looking like a "traitor" to the cause, and being called racists themselves. And, because MAGAts have tried to make this a left v. right issue, they don't want to give a "win" to the MAGAts.
The thing is, stuff like this (unspoken peer pressure to not stand up and say things are wrong if it might upset fellow cultists) is MUCH worse in the Trump cult. Take, for instance, when ICE murdered its own citizens. There, not only did MAGAts stay silent ... they actually joined in the cries that the murders weren't murders at all - they were justified actions. In fact, it's been made clear, from the tippy top, that you don't question the cult leader, or you will be excommunicated.
If only we could get back to being normal. Karmelo is a murderer. Those ICE agents are murderers, and the folks in charge who OK'd their actions should be held accountable, as well. These are normal reactions. It's time to embrace normalcy.
