It's funny, because, on at least 3 occasions, I've had actually successful writers (fiction) and newspaper editors (of major publications) try to convince me to write a fiction novel. I've politely declined each time because I find writing for writing's sake (compared to writing for a purpose - like composing legislation or contributing to a treatise) a banal pursuit compard to what I actually do. I suppose I may reconsider when I hang it up and stop contributing to society, and have to fill my time with something other than golf while waiting to die. And, yet, here I am, with some illiterate, unaccomplished hack who apparently occasionally contributes to some podunk throwaway publication(s), trying to smack talk me. It's not my fault that you've tried, and failed, your entire life to be something that others are begging me to do because of my natural talent and wit.
