Seems awfully convenient to point this out now, but no question he would have been valuable, just as he was last year, tonight. Getting beat on the boards and on unfortunate defensive switches would have been impacted with Alex. Of course, they didn't have a 100% healthy Jackson either - but I would have taken that trade.

Yup, you have to wonder what a monster this team would have been with him in. Still, they compensated and were mostly great this year. I wonder if the psychological pressure of an unbeaten season took its toll. Teams learn from losses, even though nobody likes them (for obvious reasons). And losses relieve that "perfection" pressure. Cal and the players said they didn't care about that, but I think it can catch up with you mentally if you're not ready to handle it. I love my Cats, but it was puzzling and frustrating to watch them tonight. They had opportunities, but just never capitalized on them.
