No new commitments after Spring Game?

You have to figure, even in a best case scenario, the coaches would be too busy to interact with the recruits and close the deal.

I dunno why people thought we were gonna get all these commits this weekend. Players usually come to chill at the game and have some fun. We got Wormley which was a great pickup and will probably hear some more the next week as the players figure stuff out with their parents.

I was hesitant to panic, but after watching the Spring Game, this roster is devoid of talent at WR, LB and OL.

We need to infuse some Juco's. Not that we'll be able to find any that will qualify but we need them badly.

Gee, really? Many of us have been saying this for months. Also need help at TE and in the secondary. This is what 3 years of sub-par recruiting will do to a roster.

"devoid" of talent at OL. maybe we lack depth but the starters look pretty good. As far as WR is concerned I agree we do not have a Carroo type but as a group or unit they are not devoid of talent. To say we are devoid of talent is a bit harsh. We certainly are not elite but nor are we devoid.

Yes, absolutely devoid of talent on the Offensive Line. None of the guys on the O-Line would start anywhere else in the division except at Rutgers.

Miller and Mueller (who didn't play yesterday) would have no problem starting for most Big Ten teams.....

Not a chance. Miller is simply too small to play guard. At any other school in the B10, Miller plays Center.

Mueller has short arms, and slow feet. He could be an average center at best, but for us he's a below average guard.

Cue the tape of Nebraska, tOSU, or PSU.

Flood is a better evaluator of talent than you are.

Flood was the Offensive line coach when Rutgers broke the record for most sacks allowed in a season.

Pernetti was unqualified for the job, and his hire of Flood was the work of a complete incompetent.

Flood was a horrible talent evaluator, and recruiter. We had legacies that wouldn't trust their kid with Flood. What more needs to be said.

Flood was also the coach for the best o-line in the school's history. Works both ways

If anything the smart ones will realize that our current lack of talent is a chance for them to play early and play a lot.I would rather they digest everything and make the right choice based on more than 1 scrimmage in April.Don't want them to commit now then back away after watching what could be a painful season .

Flood had a bunch of kids that started well north of 30 games for Rutgers. None of those guys were drafted. Name the last 30 game starter for Meyer, Saban, or Harbaugh that didn't get drafted.

Bujari didn't get invited to the Senior Bowl, nor was he drafted.

KJ not invited to the Senior Bowl. He wasn't drafted.

Was Lumpkin invited to the Senior Bowl. We'll see if he gets drafted.

Mueller will not be drafted, nor will he be invited to the Senior Bowl.

it's probably more of an indictment of Flood. But that's a serious trend. Flood was a poor evaluator of Offensive line talent.

I don't fink the OL is awful, , It's not great either. It's serviceable at best and that's only because there's a decent amount of experience on it now. They will have their problems against most Big Ten DL's.

That being said there is a glaringly obvious lack of quality depth at this position and it will likely be considered in the bottom 3 or 4 of the B1G as a unit.

It's not an accident that Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Michigan State all had outstanding seasons, and just by chance happen to have a first round draft pick on the O-line.

Talk to me about the line he coached in 2005-2007....like I said it works both ways....obviously you have a reading comprehension problem

FYI...Lumpkin was invited to the East West Shrine game

KJ is currently on an NFL roster

The more you post, the bigger horses *** you are making out yourself to be

When four year starters don't make the Senior Bowl it's a big deal. Quit while you're behind.
No tard boy.

There are tons of NFL players who had very successful careers who didn't play in the Senior Bowl.....the fact that you use that as a barometer for success once again illustrates how much of a "know nothing" you are.

This is a joke right. Are you calling me a "tard" boy? Simply because you can't articulate a valid point without me smashing it into bits.

And now you'll try to alter the topic, in a puny attempt to try to win a point against me.

Your idiocy is without bound or reason.

You are simply clueless when it comes to football. Stick with what you know wrestling. First Miller is not too small. He's a pulling guard that's quick and uses leverage extraordinary well. I love ex wrestlers on the line. Lineman don't have to be 6' 6" 310lbs to be effective(big myth there). Mueller has short arms? [roll] Who cares he's a guard your argument is completely irrelevant. You want a long wing span on tackles specifically left tackles so they can catch those speed rushers. Guards are maulers which Mueller excels at and no he doesn't have slow feet your making things up to support your point. These are two good players who would start on most of the teams in the B1G.

Can you tell me how many offensive linemen are invited to the senior bowl each year?
I'm just guessing here but I'd bet it's less than 25. If true, that means there are going to be kids that were first team all conference in the P5 conferences not invited to play. I think you need to get a new barometer.

It appears that Ash can recruit and it may take 2 years to get his players on the field. I've been harping about our recruiting effort the last 3 years.

Yup, you and me and a few others and we got heavily criticized for it.

TP may have been unqualified....but even if he were comatose he was better than Julie "I Know You Are ....but what am I" Hermann.
