As someone else said..this is an AP blurb. The AP writer obviously doesn’t have us in their bracket.

Same story appears on cbs, fox, and SI pages.

Wonder who the writer is.

Rutgers: The Scarlet Knights were ranked as high as 11th during the regular season, but injuries took a toll. A modestly successful season after 20 wins the year before was a letdown without an NCAA Tournament bid. Perhaps the NIT will provide a chance to keep playing.

Indiana Hoosiers are completely owned by RU and you can tell it keeps this guy up at night. He sees Geo dunking in his nightmares. He pours himself a glass of milk and turns his head worried Myles Johnson will come out of no where to swat it out of his hand. Rutgers is enemy number one to the entire state of Indiana

I had high hopes for this season, but we have never been the same team after losing to OSU.
They exposed us and everyone caught on quickly.
We don't have height and we can't make open shots.

I think it will be a miracle if we make the March tournament now.
We can't change anything so we are not going to be in and out so fast.

I’ll bet this writers paycheck we make the tournament. Likely a 9 seed. Meaning no question in selection committee’s mind.
We lost to a team with two 1st round draft picks and a freshman who was a turnover machine earlier in the year but is now one of the best.

I think the explanation is these guys are just looking at # of wins or something without actually doing a bracket or understanding how unique this year is.
