Do they always meet on Saturday or was there so much pressure to do something caused them to meet?

Maybe I mis-read her message from her covered lips, but it seems to me she is clarifying that masks “should” be worn in the businesses deemed most risky as the Governor recommended. Salons, Barber Shops, tattoo shops, nail shops, along with any other businesses that prefer customers and employees wear them.

The city ordinance required them in any place of business. Now it's just the salons and barbershops.

Is Lynn Spruill still the mayor of Starkville?

When she was running and after she got elected, she seemed to be a popular choice here on the board. Now it seems like nobody likes her. What happened?

They've seemed to be randomly held whenever the need/want to vote on something arises

They’re special sessions. They’ve called them in response to the Governor’s declarations during his daily pressers. They have to call special sessions to adopt new policies to the pandemic response in a timely manner.

Everyone I know in Starkville thinks she’s great. As do I. I don’t agree with everything she says/does, but I think she’s an excellent mayor and Starkville is lucky to have her.

The governor had a Friday Afternoon press conference easing some restrictions on certain businesses opening. Thus the Starkville board met the next day to align their ordinances with the governor's latest changes. I believe Mayor Spruill specifically mentioned that opening of gyms created the need to remove the face mask ordinance as it isn't reasonable to ask people to workout with a mask on.

She's a great mayor. People on message boards, facebook, etc just like to ***** about any and everything.
Starkville has been lucky to have her.

Blackjack Rd***

LOL. It is amazing that she got so much hate for it that she had to publicly let people know that Blackjack is in the county.

Anyone that ever bought a keg from Corky's knows that. He always gave the warning that if you lived in University Commons? that county sheriffs could make you dump out the keg if they caught you driving with it.
