Team looks tired. I’m afraid not having a crowd this year is going to affect us greatly. Hope I’m wrong. Again though, we play like crap and can still go up big. That’s the mark of a decent team.
I don’t think anyone’s questioning the effort. More so stating that we played an incredibly sloppy game, which I can’t imagine anyone would argue. Lot of bad turnovers, blown layups, missed FT’s, etcStop. Very workmanlike performance. Took care of business against a solid opponent that got off to a bad start, but never quit. Was Hofstra ever within single digits in the second half?
You’re right we should win every game by 30. Come on man, you don’t think we’re working out kinks and trying to integrate new players right now? The important thing is that every time a quality opponent made a run, we swatted them away like a fly.I don’t think anyone’s questioning the effort. We also lost games like these in years past. Now we win by double digits and people complain. We looked ugly last year early at times too without Covid and with scrimmages. No scrimmages this year. It’s also been 3 games in 5 days. Other b10 teams have looked just as out of sorts early.
Stop this nonsense. Ive never understood this. These kids play 8 games in 3 days in aau tourneys and kids their age and older around america spend 4-5 hours a day every sat and sunday hooping.Don't forget, that was the 3rd game in 5 days.
and not for lack of trying... 3 games.. 5 days.. all the CoVid barriers to work around.. playing against a team playing its first game.. with that kind of first game energyIt might be safe a player or 2 didn’t have high high energy

The only nonsense is people like you complaining after 3 double digit victories to open the season. Give the kids a break, the team is going to be just fine.Stop this nonsense. One guy played with unmistakable energy. Has floor burns to show. You can tell Pike really appreciates what he is bringing from an effort standpoint
Don't you think that comment was more about the play of the team late in the 2nd?I believe the announcer mentioned 3 games in 5 days when Palmquist missed a layup and then mentioned freshman being worn down. It was pretty ridiculous considering the amount of minutes he has played over the 3 games.
I can get behind players being worn down if they play a ton of minutes in a short stretch of games after a long grind of a B1G season. Not really buying it when they are fresh to start the season unless the argument is they are playing their way into game shape still without the typical preseason scrimmages etc.
