Because the Super Bowl has been turned into a social event, it's just one game, and anyone including women and children can watch it. It's not even about the actual game anymore.

Half of those people admit they watch it for the commercials.[laughing]
You understand half of 106 is 53 mill right? Which is 2.5 times 19 mill lol

Baseball it's on the rise [winking]

I edited read again.
19 mill is most likely the same 19 mill watching every game. Unless you're trying to say 19 mill watch game one, then they all don't watch game 2 and 19 mill more watch game 2 then they all don't watch and 19 mill more watch game 3..... so on and so forth. But I know you're not that dumb

Really, you think it’s the exact same 19mm every game? I’d have a hard time believing that too. More likely ~50mm unique viewers.

So you think that die hard baseball fans don't watch every game of the WS? You somehow get 50 mill viewers out of 19 mill a game? Sheesh.

Do those numbers count or not?

The fact is, football is one game, it's a social event, most people don't care about it at all. It's about wings, beer, and like I said, event the most severely A.D.D MF on planet earth can make it through it.

Basically, most people don't really care one way or another about the NFL outside of NFL cities. Baseball has a much more passionate following, and way more knowledgable. I don't think that's debatable.

The NFL is easy to watch for people who aren't even into sports at all.

Why cant you even admit that?

A) I'll get the other playoff games to compare to the WS if you want.

B) How does a more "passionate" following? That's just opinion.

C) If baseball is rising in popularity "why isn't it easier to watch" ?

Football is just a better sport to be a viewer of and be a fan of. Really that simple

It's easy to watch because a slow person can keep up. It's one game, it's once a year, and it's football. Big guys run and big guys hit other big guys. You are different, but thats about as far as most NFL "superbowl watchers" go.

Pass tham wangs Danny!

It's not an opinion. Football is easier for some to follow who aren't into sports. probably 25 million of the viewers you posted are women who are watching their only sporting event of the year.

I’d say at most 60% watch every game. Say a little over 20% watch a few games and a little under 20% watch 1.
World Series went 7 games this year: rough estimates
(10mm *1) + (5mm *3) + (4mm *7) would be 53mm unique

Wah wah wah. My sport isn't popular enough to draw mass audiences. Pretty much all you're saying. 106-25 is still 81 mill. 81>19. I get you like baseball, a lot of ppl don't. Just let the argument die friend.

I'll give it to you because you at least tried to think thru the math. Unlike your other partner in crime. NFL still more popular. I don't go out of my way to hate baseball. I'm just giving facts.

You've lost this argument so bad you're deflecting to a win.

Nah, you're right. I mean, all those mothers and grandmothers gearing up for their one big game of the year....

Guys who cant name divisions picking a new team yearly depending on who won the only game they watched.

It's just a holiday event man, easy to plan a social event around it. That's why you think it's more popular than it is.

Talk about deflecting lol. You act like ppl that watch the NFL are all dumb, but everyone who watches MLB is dedicated and watches every single game. Straw man argument bud. Have fun getting angrier with a dumb point tho.

Bullsh*t. MKG came from Jersey. He didn't mess around. He would definitely bounce Knox.
I don’t care where MKG is from . He would not fight Knox because he was walking down the street eating a pizza .

I've already given that you have way more casual non sports people watching.
Somehow 80% of the Super Bowl viewers don't watch any NFL games ever, for your argument that MLB>NFL holds true. IDK why you irrationally hate the NFL but its okay. Take some deep breathes watch some MLB during the season and enjoy your sport.

Knox somehow got out of the locker room in under 5 minutes after losing to meet up with friends and walk down the street and eat pizza. He probably just went back to the dorm smoked some bud and went to sleep lol

I know people will laugh at this later and straw man it to death, but just say MKG was losing like this and saw Knox grubbin on pizza, laughing, and enjoying himself........

Fight? Depends on how Knox responds, but MKG would definitely have a problem. Dude really hated losing.

Just a boring league man, overrated and overhyped. Modern NFL isn't really fun to watch, the rules have hurt it badly.

At least we were able to turn this thread into a pissing contest between who's favorite sport is better. Rafters lives.

Fwiw I pissed more than you. Also nobody saw Knox eating pizza. Matt Jones made it up for clicks

[laughing]

I bet he did. Accomplished two things.

1. Made UK fans look bad which is his favorite thing to do.

2. Clicks, clicks, clicks.

BTW, an athlete who is obsessed with getting better and winning, doesn't go out after that kind of performance and enjoy themselves to pizza and a good time; and any real athlete who hates losing knows it. Knox has essentially sucked all year, and I don't know if it's true and don't really care, but Knox looks like he's checked out. He refuses to play tough, looks to avoid any real contact, and is the laziest player of the Cal era.

He wants to go pro and that's it. That's why he's here, it makes sense.

So, maybe he was hungry, maybe he was upset and getting his mind off things, or maybe it didn't happen at all.

Or maybe it's more of the same attitude that we can all visualize if we try just a little bit.

You scored on that one. Ouch

Man it's just about having a shot to be seen. If you can get to AA ball, you can make it with a few good seasons. It's exciting. My first cousin played for the Oakland A's, I've got a few friends who were close.

What do you think the percentage is of humans walking the earth who were drafted into baseball?
This. It's much easier for kids to make it to the big leagues this day and time because of social media and/or YouTube. Kids today don't need a pro scout to come and see them. We didn't have that luxury growing up. Sure wish we had.

I highly doubt this is true at all .I call BS on this one. In case you don't know, the players are fed before they leave Rupp or they take it to the dorm with them. Where the locker rooms are located, there is a place where they are fed. Then, they come straight out of Rupp into a waiting bus that shuttles them straight back to their dorm. No stops allowed, no fans are allowed back there (just family of players), and the van is literally steps from the Rupp backdoor. They definitely aren't walking down any street. Just straight to the bus and to the dorm. So, I'm calling ******** on this. Just some guy trying to stir the pot and making stuff up.

I heard that call also. the guy said he was enroute back to knoxville trying to beat any bad weather. i doubt he saw any players walking the street eating pizza so soon after the game.
