Only one team is bringing in multiple guys from PA to a public group 2 school. It happens all over now. People will go anywhere now for good coaching and putting their son in the environment they feel is best for his success.

I thought when Heller was coach and Billy George the assistant and they first built the program up they were easy to root for. It was a program that like 7 kids at some points in the 2000s and they built it up . After Deluca took over and especially after Sonny “god wanted me to win that district title” Amato got there they became the villains and real unlikeable fast.Sure, but it’s another thing for a public school to solicit those kids. Lost a lot of respect for Deluca the way he runs his program. Between the recruiting, the forfeiting, and the way he speaks to other coaches and local media, he’s a lot.
Yeah I agree private to public shouldn’t require a transfer penalty, assuming the public school is the same as where the kid would have gone had he not gone private. Like if a Delsea kid enrolls into Camden Catholic and then returns to Delsea, then he shouldn’t have to sit. But if a Cherry Hill kid enrolls into Camden Catholic, but then moves/transfers to Delsea, there should be a sitout rule.I knew the DePauls transferred but they came from st Augustine, private school kids going back to their public school is a good thing . Can’t be too mad about Froelich either, he placed 4th 2x and 3rd once in the districts coming into this season and now he’s ranked in the state so that worked out perfectly
Like 8 years ago they were a team with the 8 kids and the Addisons and Brignolas made up just about all of the roster. Agreed, very easy to root for. They’re a better program now but definitely way less likable.I thought when Heller was coach and Billy George the assistant and they first built the program up they were easy to root for. At this point with all the private school domination I’d let any kid leave a private and go public even it’s it’s not his home schoolYeah I agree private to public shouldn’t require a transfer penalty, assuming the public school is the same as where the kid would have gone had he not gone private. I was talking about nationwide not just NJOnly one team is bringing in multiple guys from PA to a public group 2 school.
Why the Amato hate you also took a shot at him on the Penn St boards. Didn't you want him at Rutgers?I thought when Heller was coach and Billy George the assistant and they first built the program up they were easy to root for. Likes to party, likes to fight. Good wrestler, not a good kid.Why the Amato hate you also took a shot at him on the Penn St boards. Didn't you want him at Rutgers?
If Delsea is DePaul’s local public high school then I don’t have an issue with that.Yeah I agree private to public shouldn’t require a transfer penalty, assuming the public school is the same as where the kid would have gone had he not gone private. I know he had one fight incident which kids do the other stuff I have never heard about.Likes to party, likes to fight. Good wrestler, not a good kid.
No I didn’t I think he has a terrible attitude.to be fair on the Penn state Board I said he has a 50/50 chance of being a multiple time AA or get kicked out of school. The talent as a wrestler I don’t question but him as a person has some red flags. Why the Amato hate you also took a shot at him on the Penn St boards. Didn't you want him at Rutgers?
In the day of the private school takeover I’m usually ok with public schools trying to bring in guys but when you start bringing in guys from PA, Delaware ,South Carolina etc is when I start having an issue with it but I understand thats just the way of the world nowadays.I was talking about nationwide not just NJ
If Delsea is DePaul’s local public high school then I don’t have an issue with that.
I looked it up the Depauls are from Franklinville which Is where delsea high school is locatedYeah I agree private to public shouldn’t require a transfer penalty, assuming the public school is the same as where the kid would have gone had he not gone private. Rumson has definitely taken over the recruiting title. I believe they have kids from 5 different home states on their roster. Possibly more.
Hmmmm... no. They recruited during the Heller era too. He's a good guy, but wasn't like he was above that kind of stuff when it came to establishing the program.Like 8 years ago they were a team with the 8 kids and the Addisons and Brignolas made up just about all of the roster. Agreed, very easy to root for. They’re a better program now but definitely way less likable.
