Then let me pose the question he was attempting to ask with the analogy... do you sit Martinez because he struggled in parts of 2 games or try to let him battle through it?

I think it’s a valid question that I’m not sure what the answer is.

Edited my last reply.

In this case, you can't sit Martinez. He's the best option we have at QB. We know he's a good player. You don't need some derp 1-6 baseball reference (which totally destroyed the point he was trying to make).

the analogy was forward-looking. do you think Coach Frost won't coach another close game in the next 4+ years of his tenure? we should quit on him now with a 1-6 record in close games?

he's started out 1-6, which, if you believe in him at all, is sure to improve. you know, kind of like that hitter who goes 1-6 over the course of a game or two is sure to get hot.

but, hey, poop away, smart guy.

Surprised you even got the gif right, slugger.

do you understand now?

baseballfan13 is right to criticize, if we're indeed extrapolating his current record over the course of his NU career (an entire baseball season, keeping to the analogy).

but, of course, we'd have to be complete morons to do that. Coach Frost will string together some hits, so to speak, and that record will look a lot better than .167 at the 81-game mark (again, keeping with the analogy).

following me here? you see, this is how analogies work.

You still got it wrong. You suck, brochacho. Just admit it.

The coach answered a question, now I'm pissed again. Unacceptable, stop making excuses, shut up and play!

Do you care if I elaborate?

of course. if you think my analogy was bad and can point to why, I'm all ears.

the extrapolation to half a season completely missed the point, which I tried to explain.

if Frost does indeed go .167 in 2.5 years' worth of close games, 'benching' is warranted. he's right there.

my analogy simply was trying to point out a fairly meaningless sample by using close games (7 doesn't predict anything meaningful in the future) and at-bats (again, can't draw many conclusions from 7 ABs).

"-Cam Jurgens = stud"

I wouldn't go quite that far LOL. Maybe he's a monster in practice IDK.

I hope the stadium is rocking Saturday night. I just hope the previous week didn't let all the air out of the fans. It was an emotional loss last week. Players, coaches, fans wanted that win so bad last week and they let it slip away. Maybe it's a good thing this is a night game. Give the fans all day to get juiced up and make it a loud crazy atmosphere. At least I hope anyway...

Sjuts is summarizing. Is he a stud? I'd say yes. Has he played like one? Definitely not yet.

All I want is for you to admit that the baseball analogy was a bad one.

If the team shows up amd kicks some *** all over the field then you’ll get some crazy out of people. Show up and sputter and you’ll probably get some boos...
