NIT Championship Game

[IBleedMaroonDawg]

I and Howland have been waiting for Matthews to finally start.

[anon1787432961]

They've done it all year. They're the #1 ranked team in defensive efficiency in the country.

Looks like I'm right. They can't keep that intensity up they had at the start of the game.

[Tomas Smid]

Took their best shot. All MSU in second half.

[MissStFan87]

Show of hands for everyone that had Anderson Garcia tying the game at the 1st half buzzer after a 0-13 start in the first 7 minutes.

[ckDOG]

Helluva turnaround

Good response to match their intensity they overwhelmed us early on.

[Crazy Cotton]

I missed the Euro-step part of it.

[Dawg1976]

Unreal they are back in it. Who knows....Memphis may get **** together and blow us out in 2nd half. But at least we have a chance at this point.

[ZombieKissinger]

One hell of a first half comeback. Great job by our guys to not fold. If we win, Ado is MVP. I don’t care if he doesn’t score another point. What’s he’s done around the rim the last two games has been outstanding

[Lettucexxxx]

The live line was Memphis -13.5 and +600 MSU ML at the 15:00 minute mark.

I smashed the like button on MSU +10..MSU +11.5 and grabbed it at + 12.5

Ado escaping with only two fouls was big. We may need to leave him on the bench and play smaller with Fountain and the PortoRican Euro Stepper

[MissStFan87]

Anyone notice the body language from Memphis after that last play? Lots of heads down and maybe a little bit of arguing among teammates. Penny was directing them to the locker room.

[Crazy Cotton]

Stewart and Molinar have 2 made baskets between them in the first half. If Stewart can contribute a bit, and he's got to the rim a few times, we should keep this close.

[047Dog]

Get Stewart out of there. He’s useless today

We played good defense in that last 3:00 mins. Be nice to see it for the next 20:00.
Ofense wins games, defense wins championships.

[MissStFan87]

Was that not goaltending?

[She Mate Me]

So many experts , so little time.

[DreadNought.sixpack]

Stewart flashing those ball handling skills.

[maroonmania]

That was a goaltend on Molinar. Replay confirmed it.

[57stratdawg]

On the layup they pinned against EV backboard? Yes, it was.

[047Dog]

Is Stewart going pro after this?

[maroonmania]

Right back to a deficit and Molinar picks up a terrible cheap foul. Not a good start.

[IBleedMaroonDawg]

Ellis is going to beat us by himself.

[047Dog]

If Disappear Stewart would show up we could have a chance. But it’s not gonna happen.

[IBleedMaroonDawg]

Neither he nor Molinar have contributed at all. If they score 10 a piece we win running away.

[coach66]

Memphis game plan was to control our guards

And they were successful.

He can't even make a 1 foot layup today. He looks exhausted.

[DAWG61]

Cam just bounced passed the ball oob on a 4 foot pass without anyone touching it

[Lettucexxxx]

Ooooooooooof
all in on torture today

[maroonmadman]

We've had 3 or 4 fast breaks with numbers and have blown it due to ****** ball handling!

[DAWG61]

Cam, Ado n Deivon came to fight today everyone else showed up to get their *** kicked

[IBleedMaroonDawg]

The horde will blame Howland but that's going to happen on the next level, good players find a way to contribute.

Stewart and Molinar were just nonexistant.

[Lettucexxxx]

Ben does us no favors with the refs. He’s passive to a fault. In 6 years, has he ever been t’d up?

[lanceharbor7]

Mississippi State is allergic to all championship games.

Like I said yesterday they have too much length for our guys.

[UpTheMiddlex3Punt]

Nitrunnersupville just doesn't have the same ring

Oh well, it was a nice run that got me more excited about MSU basketball than I've been in a long time. Hopefully this young team will build on this success.

[Justin themowa reed]

Anyone else see that classless Memphis player #11 cuss at one of our players and hold up an L in post game. If anyone has a video. Classless university and karma will get them. #HAILSTATE

[Lettucexxxx]

I don’t see them getting any worse..

Luke Mathews looked good today

Before today, best 2 games I've seen in the Howland era. We will miss Ado defensively. And the moxie we showed closing out the first half today was impressive.

Luke is a way better shooter then Cam!!

[Tomas Smid]

+12.5? Ouch.
