Just announced: Indiana is a 1 seed in their region and Nebraska is a 4 seed in a separate region . Other local teams include Hofstra as a 7 seed. Will Tim Miles still be the coach at Nebraska? Several Big East squads including Gtown, Butler ,Xavier m, Providence and Creighton included. 1 seeds are UNC Greensboro, Indiana, Alabama and TCU who are the last 4 out of ncaa dance.

The Nebraska AD will not make a change in season, I believe. He has said that and been consistent. Butler heads to Lincoln and if the Huskers win that then they head to Fort Worth to play TCU. We shall see.

I like the NIT games. They’re usually matchups you ll never see during the season or ever at all and thus nice intrigue with decent squads.

there were 22 at larges and 10 schools had automatic bids for being their conference champions that didnt win their conference tournament

San Diego 20-14 a 6 seed at 97 was the worst NET team to make it

no sub 500 school made it

Butler at 16-16 and Texas at 16-16 made it

some above 500 schools in the top 100 passed up like Arizona, South Florida, San Fransisco, Fresno State, Oregon State, BYU, Tulsa, and Southern Miss

Thanks for posting the bracket. Texas Southern got screwed. Great game last night against Prairie View - deserved to make the field.

The Greensboro region is pretty weak

I like Greensboro, Indiana, Xavier, and Nebraska to the final 4 with Indiana winning it all over Xavier

It’s really a quite good tournament but never know what to make of it as never know how teams will react. Will they be ticked and distraught or loaded for bear or somewhere in the middle?

Memphis v. San Diego State is some funky geography. Oopsy.

Nebraska coach seems like a good guy so will root for him and UNCG and Lipscomb.

Didn't realize you could make the NIT with a .500 record. So that gives RU a better chance next year.

The 2 schools that made it...Texas hss wins over UNC and Purdue and was a ncaa bubble team. Butler had some good wins and was a ncaa bubble team until two week ago. Exception moreso than rule.

Had RU beat Fordham and PSU at 16-15 they certainly would have merited strong consideration

they have something to prove.

They will have to wait until next year to do it.

Let's be real honest with ourselves, no one cares about the NIT. If I can be magically teleported to a front row seat at MSG for the NIT final I still wouldn't go.

I usually don't watch much NIT, but a few years ago my buddy got some free tickets , good location, for an NIT Semi at MSG. So I went, and we wound up sitting near some Marquette fans about our age, and we had a great time talking hoops from the 70s , watching a good game, and enjoyed the excitement in the concourses where the beer and food was sold. They have good beer ,drink and food selections at MSG.
If RU made the NIT, I'd be all in.

I'd love to see Nebraska win this thing and at the trophy presentation see Tim Miles give the Nebraska AD the finger and go get a better job.

Why ?

He should be let go IMO----he's had enough time---been well paid-----has excellent facilities-----a preseason Top 25 roster and hasn't won.

Time for Nebraska to move on.
