Bracket looks like the now defunct CBI or CIT. No B1G teams. Only four P5 teams - Auburn, Cal, Wake, and Ok State.

How did the NIT become so unfashionable?

We have beaten three tournament teams - NCAA bound Lehigh and Penn, plus NIT bound UNLV.

NIT only makes sense if you expect a good number of your core guys to return. If not, it’s a waste of time. Not sure why they declined the Crown though. Money is supposedly everything and the pay out is pretty good.

Chol looks like he has actually become a serviceable player. Good defender and rebounder, has made his share of threes this year, but seems to have a problem with throwing the ball away

I was a little surprised how slow he seemed, thought he'd still be wiry and maybe a little quicker. Filled out a bit. Wasn't completely lost on D anymore. Simpson had a excellent game.

Auburn knocks off Tulsa 92-86 to win the NIT. Tigers very equal in ability to Texas certainly could have won a couple of games in the NCAA tourney. They made lemonade out of lemons
