According to Dennis Dodd, multiple schools are currently being investigated by the NCAA for NIL violations. I would be shocked if Penny and Memphis is not one of those schools.

You KNOW we are being looked at. I doubt we have violations. But you KNOW the NCAA is rubbing their hands like a criminal mastermind waiting for the slightest hiccup from us.

If it was Kentucky, Cal would be sitting in Congress with Roger Clemens. They wouldn't of said multiple schools and everyone knows it. They would of said KY. Envelopes would be popping open in Fed Ex with Dwane Casey 500 bucks everywhere. This is smoke. Ncaa doesn't have the man power to investigate when they still haven't ruled on North Carolina cheating with Frank McGuire so Dean Smith got the job.

Samford is about due for a Level 1 infraction or 2 since UNC/Sankey decided to wipe theirs off the map.

Just exactly what is a NIL violation? You didn't give a cut to Emmert?

When EVERY Texas OL is guaranteed $50K, then explain a violation.

How many guys are taking a pay cut when they leave college? Reality check....

Probably unreported. That’s the only thing I can think of.

Used as a recruiting tool, i.e. if you sign with us you will get $100k in endorsements. I know that was listed as a rule.

The big 5 could kill the NCAA by splitting and forming there own super league. Hell I’d be fine if Group of 5 conferences like the Big 12 and the American join.

The schools run the NCAA. If the schools run the new org, the new organization will likely be run the same way. Emmert was at LSU and UW both power 5 schools before the NCAA.

That’s like sending Barney Fife to stop the shootout at OK corral.
I don't think Andy could have stopped that one.

Everyone with walking around sense kew that NIL was a train wreck waiting to happen. Bilas and the rest of the media jumped onboard because they love train wrecks. It gives them something to talk about. I wish every school not named KU,LSU,Ariz ,UNC or UL would collectively tell the NCAA to go to hell and don't come back.

The problem is Emmett is doing and not doing EXACTLY what the university Presidents want him to do. This summer they UNANIMOUSLY voted to renew his contract. What does that tell you. The rot , corruption and deceit in college basketball goes MUCH deeper than the NCAA.LSU , UNC, Kansas, and Arizona haven’t been punished because the real power in college sports the Presidents committee don’t want them punished

IMO, there needs to be some leniency initially as schools and businesses work to figure what's legal and what isn't. Unless it's blatant, they should be treated as secondary, given some warnings maybe pay a little restitution if warranted, then put them out there as learning lessons that those things can't happen and that repeat violations will see harsher penalties.

I’d be more worried about football schools. Basketball corruption is bad but football is big business and where the real shadiness occurs. Just generates way more money than basketball
