The obligatory camera shot of a dUKe commits family in the stands. The announcers already know their names.

Myself included, I don't understand it. I think Allen is the better prospect.
Bolden , nor Allen , are amazing players. They are the level of Humphries , Dakari ect . Guys who should play in the NBA but need a few years. If you remember Humphries and Bolden were ranked in the same area before Hump reclassified. Bolden would help and play a ton none the less . Allen is going to UT so pointless in discussing that.

Is this true? I never got the impression Humphries was that highly ranked. Do you have any sources that show this?

He's looking for his shot here today but the Tatum negativity is outrageous. That kid is very very good.

Not sure Bolden starts at either place. When it comes down to it, I think K rolls with Giles/Jefferson/Tatum and I like Bam at the five for us with Gabriel and either Briscoe or Willis.

He was a top-50/60 kid in 2016 that reclassified. Being a year younger as a big man can really hurt, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him make more of an impact this year. Not a major contributor, but like you'd expect from a top 50 freshman, except he has a year of experience and adjustment and coaching.

Link??or is this rumor that frosty tips started

You're not likely to find a link discussing behind the scenes stuff like that. Coaches don't say that stuff publicly and writers couldn't print it on the record even if they did.

I agree with the same level of Dakari .....

If you mean potential.. should should of said level of potential but since you didnt... Im taking it that you mean right now.... and Right now both players are better defensively and athletically than Humphries...

Try asking the guys on the HOB that know. You wonder why Cal isnt going for the other guys at his school.....? Preston, Duval, Ferguson and Cal isnt recruiting a single one. Do the math

Prime Prep is a suspect school, kids have had UNC like "classes" there. Mudaiy was going to be inelgible regardless of which college he chose. LSU;s Jordan Mickey was from there and he had issues with his college eligibility.

I had the chance to watch Gabriel and Allen play in Suwanee Ga. last summer and both were impressive. Spoke with Gabriel before his team took the court for practice and he was a personable guy. Really liked him.

Tatum, even when he does pass has given it up 2 steps too late. Its terribly frustrating to play w someone like that. The fast break layup fox missed in the first half was bc the pass was so late. Other than that tho Tatum is a very gifted offensive player.

Just tuning in. How have Fox and Gabriel looked?
both have looked really good. Fox has finished well in the paint except once when he tried to do a reverse lay up. fox passing, speed, defense, and the floater have been on point. Gabriel has played really well on the defensive end and the motor has not stopped on the offensive glass. he had a really good entry pass to Allen that set up an easy bucket.

Interesting, because Ferguson has just recently decided to visit UNC - Tarheel fans are convinced he's theirs.

Would be par for the course if UNC gets a slap on the wrist from the NCAA, then adds a kid from a basketball factory who of course has no trouble getting eligible to play for them.

Fox bounce back w/ a good game. His D + passing are elite. Still have ??? on how he's gonna score the ball.

Gabriel was okay. I saw the hyped motor on the boards. Just not as athletic as i thought. Struggled around the rim alittle.

1 thing that can finally be put to bed - Wenyen is not a wing player. You can see how he moves + the skillset, he has no business playing/defending wings.

I'm glad you can put that to bed after watching one all star game. I wish Cal had your eye - would save us a lot of time.

Yeah, you can when you're judging a players fluidity, athleticism & handles. These things stand out & are easily judged, considering stats & variance are not involved.

+ DX, who've followed him longer than everyone, has already labeled his balance, lateral movement & 3pt shot flaws at this stage. All those qualities are essential for a wing.

All the " KD/Kawhi" comparisons can go to bed now. He seems like a high energy big w/ some skill, which is fun.
