I can’t blame MP at all if TS doesn’t declare tonight, he needs to immediately cut his losses of time and focus on everyone else. I believe Stokes will be a big time player, though enough is enough at this point. He’s had all the time in the world and yes one could argue that he wants to see what the roster will look like, though given Pope doesn’t have a single impact performer locked in, we don’t have the luxury of waiting any longer, IMO. He should by 0800 tomorrow morning, move on.

If he said he wants to announce mid to late next week, I’d wish him well and cease all further contact.

Yeah, one can fault Pope for being in this situation, and I do, though as a collective, we need to support his decision if that’s what he does, can’t afford to miss out on getting a top five SF in the portal. I just don’t see any scenario to whereby KW is putting up 15-6 consistently and we need someone that can.

I agree with you. Just saying if we tell Stokes nevermind because he doesn't want to commit today then get a bunch of scrubs ... I'd rather have Stokes and a bunch of scrubs than just a bunch of scrubs.

There's not much in the portal imo. Not players we have a realistic chance with. Pope better hope like hell he gets Stokes.

Yeah, I have gone back and forth strongly on this kid. I am back to leaning that we get him. This whole situation is strange. But the fact that Stokes is coming back again for a visit gives Pope a chance to leave all out there on the field.

I believe he's UK bound. Kentucky has only lost 2 games more than Kansas the previous 2 seasons and it's only 1 if you go to Cal's last season. Obviously we're talking about a HOF coach, but Kansas is struggling the past 3 seasons. Plus I still believe there's a draw to play in front of his family for one season before entering the professional world of basketball.

If not, congrats to Bill Self. He's still one of the best. So, we will see.
