I'd throw DeMarcus Cousins in there as well. The most physically ready UK recruit ever.

Did any of you guys watch. Mitch. McGary in HS? He was older than his class but was a bull down low, Wynyard is much like him but a little less offensively skilled at this point.

As for Maker.....I stand by what I said last year about him. Big project and so weak, no where near top 10 talent and I wouldn't even give him that 5th star. He might be a player 10 yrs from now in the league if he develops and gets a heck of a lot stronger but he is not worthy of a scholly if you want someone who is going to contribute from day 1.
Brown is like I have stated before, nice athletic talent but is not really a 3 but more of a 4, can't shoot a lick from outside but his athleticsm is a given.

Of course people rank on different principles, like young guys rank on how good you can dunk while I rank on how good can you play ball.

Ok, but you are the one who typed Newman is a starting NBA guard now [/B].

I'm not sure how many NBA scouts think Newman is NBA ready today, April 11th, 2015, but you are entitled to your opinion. I think he will be a pro one day. I also think he will be kind of a tweener due to his size at 6'3 and not a pure point guard so he may have to play the 2, which he will here, should he come.

He would be our best offensive 3 we have had since? He would help make us a legit threat to win it all, especially if we got Newman and Zim. Those three would pretty much take care of our needs. Briscoe is better than thought and you can tell Skal will be big most games.

Man CANE with you logic then, Jamal Murray is ALL NBA. No way in any way shape or form would Newman start in the NBA. NONE. Any NBA starting 2 guard right now would have had 50pts in todays game, easy. James Harden? 70pts.

Malik Newman: Newman is an outstanding perimeter shooter with good rise and consistent mechanics. Newman has good body control with his handle, but his penetration is typically setup by defenders honoring his jumper than being able to break down his man. Newman lacks the needed size to be a typical NBA shooting guard and isn't a very gifted passer at this point in his development.
Newman had a good sequence in the second quarter where he hit a three-pointer from NBA range and then hit a runner in transition.

By the way, did you ever take that up in the other thread who accepted your bravado $100 bet?

The unsigned guys I like most for our team are Ingram, Newman, and Zimmerman. Bring them in and that's a top 5-10 team for UK. Neman as a scorer, Ingram as a high potential shooter, and Zimmerman has nice touch around the basket.

Maker and Diallo are the wild cards obviously. Would love to get a decision from Coach Rohrssen soon. Hopefully by Monday sometime. Then there is Maker. Depending on who you believe he might not have the grades(working on finishing his reclassification stuff I think I read) to be here right away. I just don't think Brown s coming here. That shoe affiliation stuff players a bigger role than I think we care to admit.

Just can't wait until the dominoes start to fall.

Ingram, Newman, & Zimmerman for me as well. Would really love to have these 3. Maker did not impress me at all. Brown would be the 4th pick for me.

LIked Zimmermann and Ingram the most. Newman also very good. Maker (only time I've seen him) looked very, very average .. certainly don't like him for this class if Cal is only going to add 2/3 more.

I am with many others on this thread..Give me Ingram, Zimmerman and Newman and if we take four, make it Diallo. Jaylen Brown can't shoot a lick.

Stone should have been in this game over Jeter probably swainagin too. As the announcers have said though USA Bball isnt dealing with any more dudes with questionable attitudes, which Stone has been said to have. This years bigs as a whole are very weak. Aside from Skal and maybe Stone none of these guys are game changers.

It couldn't hurt to actually watch the kids play in college before we judge where they rank. After all, before the season, Karl-Anthony Towns (for example) was known to be incredibly soft, and wasn't projected to go very high in the draft, and we all see how that turned out..

I mean, KAT was a projected top-3 pick before the season.
