Yeah, I was guilty of falling for the hype after seeing one highlight clip, but the clip I saw of him going against Skal, and what little I've seen today, I'd be ok losing out on him. Zimmerman, Newman, and Brown please and thank you.

Really, really stupid foul by Briscoe. Hope he gets smarter than that. Doesn't the World win this almost every year?

I tried to tell people about Thon Maker. People wanted to compare him to durrant which is hilarious. He has potential but at this point is just a project. I say pass on him

They do. I'm not all that upset about the Briscoe foul. I love his defensive intensity.

Standouts for me-

Murray (daaaaaaaaamn), Simmons, and Skal for the World team, with Diallo showing flashes of what he can bring.

For the USA, no one, particularly, but Kennard has been good, and Zimmerman, Briscoe, Ingram, Trier, and Newman have all shown flashes.

Underwhelming- Thon Maker, Ivan Rabb, and Jaylen Brown.

Skal is really good on both ends of the court. I agree he is not Anthony Davis but he looks like he has similar potential.

LSU should be a top 8 team. They should make Elite 8. But with Jones.

Yes you are correct. Skal's isn't Anthony Davis, but this puts him in great company because UK hasn't had but one player with AD type skills and that player is Anthony Davis.

Ingram,Newman and Zimmerman are best fits for Cats. Diallo would be nice.

Brown looks like scorer not a shooter. We need shooters. ( like Ingram)

Briscoe will be great and Skal is off the charts. the best since AD.

Winyard made nice spin move early in game. He is an ox.

Murray was sensational as was Simmons who I thought looked better than Wiggens, Parker et al.

Duke will have a bunch of shooters next year although their interior game will be much weaker.

LOL what an incredibly stupid thing to say. He's easily better than James Young, who is at least good enough to be on an NBA roster.

Not quite.

They lost Martin and Mickey.

Simmons and Blankenly are not good enough to make them top 8, not with everyone else on their roster being pretty average.

Imagine our last BCG team when Cal came in, but imagine that Patterson and Meeks both went to the NBA, and all we signed was John Wall (top-prospect) and Eric Bledsoe (Lower ranked 5-star guard).

Wall and Bledsoe would not have been enough to make that team a top 8 team, similar to Simmons and Blankenly.

Skal was awesome, reminds me of AD. I didn't know Briscoe was a great passer, very happy to see that. I hope we get Newman and Zimmerman

I kinda have a different line of thinking. I do believe that Newman and Zimmerman are best fits, Ingram over Brown is questionable. Jaylen had a bad game, but the body of work shows that he's a tremendous athlete, slashes to the basket with ease, excellent ball handler and passer, and when he's on, he's on.
With a lineup of Ulis, Briscoe/Newman, Brown, Zimmerman, and Labissiere, you have a big, athletic lineup with very good shot-blockers, hard-nosed defenders, the ability to spread the floor on offense and run Cal's traditional dribble drive offense with all positions 1-5 because of the skill level + athleticism at every position.
A lot of opportunities to spread the floor, drive and kick to drive again, drive and kick to shoot an outside shot, or drive and score off the top, and Labissiere is as good as they come in the pick and roll offense. I imagine Zimmerman is productive from that standpoint as well.
Having that superior athleticism, ball handling ability, passing ability, and having a strength to finish at the rim would be best for that kind of offense.

Ingram and Newman would help us the most out of the potential remaining commits. Both bring excellent skill and can stretch the floor.

I hope Skal does not fall in love with that midrange shot, like Lyles did this season. Being able to make it should be merely be an asset, not the central skill in an offensive repertoire.

Wow Will, you never stop surprising me with your sensationalist view on basketball. What NBA team do you think this 17 year old would start for?

I have now watched Brown 4 times, and he has not impressed me at any time. Like I said the other day he reminds me of Shabazz from ucla, and you know how he panned out.

That was an entertaining game. Briscoe and Labissiere definitely keep Kentucky in the talk for being a contender next season. The unsigned guys I like most for our team are Ingram, Newman, and Zimmerman. Bring them in and that's a top 5-10 team for UK. Neman as a scorer, Ingram as a high potential shooter, and Zimmerman has nice touch around the basket.

Maker and Diallo are the wild cards obviously. Would love to get a decision from Coach Rohrssen soon. Hopefully by Monday sometime. Then there is Maker. Depending on who you believe he might not have the grades(working on finishing his reclassification stuff I think I read) to be here right away. I just don't think Brown s coming here. That shoe affiliation stuff players a bigger role than I think we care to admit.

Just can't wait until the dominoes start to fall.

You continue to take anything he says serious?? I thought after his 100 failed predictions, people would realize he knows very little about basketball.

In my 35 years I have seen 5 UK recruits who I knew were NBA ready now .Newman skal wall AD and randle. And I typed what meant I don't mean they start on the team from day 1 , I mean they play a lot from day 1 and are NBA ready. This isnt sensational at all . Many NBA scouts agree
